So I managed to score an OEM Trunk Spoiler today for $100 shipped. The only problem is that it is not the right color. That said, I have three options: paint match, matte black vinyl, or carbon wrap.
I'm split between the three. Matte black vinyl is the cheapest, but then I teeter with blacking out or plasti dipping the chrome pieces. Carbon wrapping is nice, but it's the only carbon on the car--maybe wrap the pillars and grill plenum too? Paint matching may be costly, and I'm worried it will be off.
Suggestion, feedback, advice? Discuss...

Honestly my vote would be leave it alone, I dont think any of those would be a good idea...i think the chrome really compliments milano red...
I got mine vinyl wrapped graphite color-- it looks nice because it compliments my car color...
Just my opinion...
why not just try out other grilles instead of painting them

sell the spoiler and buy a new one...wrapping won't look right in red

I think it would look okay in matte black or the right carbon fiber pattern. I did the same thing as you...I have a polished metal car and got a cheap spoiler in a different color and just plastidipped it for now. I kinda got the idea from the amg black series cars and how they have unpainted aero parts:
