rear brakes 2013 tsx
hey just have a quick question.. iv looked through threads cant seem to find anything.
anyway. i want to change the rotors and pads on the back/rear brakes of my 2013 tsx 4 cylinder. should i be worried about loosing brake fluid. or pushing old/dirty brake fluid into the abs system when compressing the caliper piston to fit in the new pads. |
i mean; that's standard operating procedure of any brake job with any car... when you push the piston back, the fluid will move too. thus why one leaves the cap off the reservoir.
|
what im asking is.. will i screw up anything to do with the abs in this process.
|
|
I try to flush brake fluid every 3 yrs or so, but have never worried about small amount of fluid pushed back into reservoir during caliper compression. Never experienced any problems w/ this practice. ABS is not open to fluid and fluid only flows back to reservoir.
good luck |
If you're worried...do a brake flush before putting on the new pads.
My solutions are the best; I know. |
