Purchasing New TSX SE TODAY--- torn between colors
So... today I am trading in my Altima Coupe 3.5 SR for a TSX Special Edition. It's all a go. I am just torn on what color I want.... I think black looks hot in that car it definitely shows off the wheels and the brushed aluminum accents on the car... but I'm worried about scratches/swirl marks showing over time. The white is nice... but it doesn't stand out like the black, but it gives it a nice look too. And the silver looks nice... but I feel like it's too much silver with the brushed aluminum.
Anyone have the SE TSX? Thoughts on color? I like them all... i just dont know what color to get, I was up for like 3 hours last night looking at the colors and trying to decide. LOL.

it's a car-drive it
after owning black vehicles I have to say they look sharp when clean. The problem is they are hard to keep that way. Personally I would go for the Milano red with 6MT-just wish they had nav. If they did I would have been the owner of one by now. Silver and white cars are to common.

I was hoping that they offered the SE in Vortex Blue...but that didn't happen. So I went with the Milano Red 6MT--figured if you're going to have something different, why not have it different. I enjoy the fact that I have yet to see another Milano Red CU2.

Just like any other black car. Just have to stay on top of it to keep it looking clean. Pearl finish is awesome. You can opt for Silver or White. I wanted White but so glad I got "stuck" with black!

It sucks they didn't offer the SE in VBP, that would have been a sharp car.
I have a PWP and everytime I see a CBP or a VBP, i find myself kind of regretting my colour choice....
Get the black!

Same here. I got white and regret it. Best color is the VBP and if you're good about paint maintenance the cbp

Black is a great color when clean but impossible to keep clean. Swirl marks are inevitable on every color but obviously more evident on darker colors. White shows dirt like black but hides swirl marks. Silver is the easiest for looking clean.
If you wash and wax your own car by hand, then you have a shot at keeping swirls to a minimum but the first visit to a car wash will screw that up.

My car was on the dealer lot for almost 3 months. I got built in swirls, but no car wash will ever touch my car. Hand wash warm weather, and pressure wash in the winter. Before winter a layer of wax, after winter clay bar and wax every 6 weeks to keep up the looks all summer.

I disagree and think the CBP makes the car blend in more. I have an 11 Tech 6MT so had the similar limited color choices (but no Milano Red).
I really like the Red -- it's rare and makes the car pop. If that was offered, that's what I would have chosen. I ended up with PWP (it was the only 6MT available on the West Coast) and I am happy with it. Clean lines, and complements the chrome and black bodywork nicely.

since you do not like the red go for the black-many have put clear bra's on their cars due to the lousy paint-chips easy-especially if you do lots of highway driving. With my red-to keep it from fading (it is garage kept) I wax or quick detail it often.

I had/have two black Acuras... an RL from Japan and a TL from America... after 4 to 5 years, they fade. That's probably my fault because I didn't keep them waxed. I always took the spray wax from the car wash... if they water beaded, I took it.
I do love the PWP TSX though... not because it is the most expensive paint that Acura tosses on, but the lack of swirl marks is a major factor. Bug guts on the front bumper requires a little water on a paper towel.
But I also got the color because the the ebony interior...
Whatever you get, you'll have a great car.

op, judging from your first post, it seems like all the other color has something that you don't really like, so i think black is the clear winner.
yes, it will be hard to keep clean
but it will look damn amazing when it does. i mean, no car looks great when its dirty anyways, i say black will make you happier whenever you look at the car

But firstly congrats. Secondly, GOOD LUCK. If I could do it all over again, I would have got my TSX in white or silver, anything but black.
Yea it looks sleek especially after a wash, and black has always been my color of choice for cars, but IT IS A PAIN IN THE #@$@%@%@# ASS TOO take care of and maintain.
My only advice, microfiber and wax, it'll help preserve the sleekness of the color for long time.

I'm gonna post pics this weekend... It was raining when I left the dealership.... they let me bring it back on Tuesday to get re-detailed again since it was raining that day.
Yeah everyone keeps saying about black maintenance...but I will just have to go the extra mile to keep it looking nice LOL.
I am as happy as a kid in a candy store. LOL.

i'd be careful with "dealer detailing" they usually SUCK and only make things worse. i'd probably see if they could throw in something instead and detail it yourself. get wheel locks or stuff like that if you didn't get it

Dealers pour on glaze to make the car look good. That wears off after the first wash and you get to see all of the swirls that they just covered up.

2016 Acura TLX
Milano Red is the only color to get if you're getting a SE.
