Magnaflow Exhaust Tip
As a lot of members here in the 2G forum know there is no performance gain on aftermarket exhaust system for our car, the thought of spending $1000+ on Mugen; Fujitsubo; CTE or ATLP exhaust system is simply a non starter.
With the installation of aero/sports/Modulo rear bumper, the stock exhaust tip seem dwarf by comparison. So I went out and found a 4" Magnaflow s/s exhaust tip for my car. Here's a few photos:

Tech, very nice, makes the car look more muscular. Do you have any pictures from further away? Also, how do you install these? Is welding required?

^ Thanks guys, I took it to muffler shop to weld them on for $60.
Part # for Magnaflow is 35121, list price is $106 each but I got them at a local auto part store for $35 each.

I'm going to do this as well. I bought Magnaflow mufflersfor my 1G TSX and I bought it with 4" tips (should've gotten the one with 7" tips). It looked fine when I didn't have the A-Spec Lip kit but now that I have it, the tips look really sunken in. So I'm ordering new 7" Magnaflow tips to weld on. It may not be a big deal to some, but this really does make a huge difference in terms of appearance.
Nice job again.

^i usually cruise down an industrial looking street.
ya know, the streets that have car shops lining all along both sides of the streets.
i then proceed to go into the shady looking business and ask how much they charge.
I do this a couple more times to find the cheapest exhaust shop.

The technician had to use the tube expander to expand the Magnaflow inlet by 1/8" (it has 2.25" inlet diameter) in order to slide it over the tailpipe and weld. Stainless steel can crack easily if you try to expand it improperly. Alternatively, try get an exhaust tip with 2.5" inlet diameter.

^Thanks. I know what you meant by aftermarket exhaust tips, I have seen quite a few bad ones.
Took me a few weeks trying different ones out, even taking them out of auto parts store and put it next to the stock one in the parking lot to compare.
In the end, the Magnaflow tip met all my requirements. I am also glad to have a competent exhaust/muffler tech to do the installation. Very happy with the final result.
