Last 2010 TSX coming from Japan
I am soooo stoked!
After almost 2 months of waiting, my 2010 PWP Manual TSX is on it's way from Japan The last of it's kind to be built for 2010. When first ordered almost two months ago there were none left in all of Canada in the combo I wanted, so they ordered the last one on the line in Japan.
My dealer tells me it should be here by the end of next week.
I gave them the go ahead to put the 3m clear film on the front hood and front fenders for $399 cad.
They gave me a VIN today. I'm super excited. No way I'm sleeping properly for The next week or so.

Must be on the same ship
First, congrats on the new TSX! I hope you get it soon! Where in Canada are you?
I'm also waiting for mine, which is in the July production. I ordered a TSX Premium, 6MT in Grigio Metallic, over black. The dealer looked across the country but could not find one, so I had to wait for the July production.
I'm anxious for the car to arrive... my 2006 TSX (6MT) was getting to the end of its lease, and I just needed to have the new model.
More sleepless nights to come... I guess I'll be swapping keys very soon!
Good luck!

I beg to differ. Purchased an 09 escape in February that had to go back to the dealer 5 times for different issues before I traded it in for an Acura. People told me to stay away from ford and I wish i would have listened.

Three Wheelin'
I drove an 09 Fusion SEL AWD last year, pretty impressed with the built quality.
Chrisman, is your July built TSX a 2010 or 2011 model year then? Congrats and post some pics when you get it.

It's one of the reasons I opt'd for the TSX over the TL. It was made in Japan and imported.
I've owned several cars over the years, and while the initial quality is decent at times for american cars, they turn into rattle boxes later on (GM and Dodge Especially). I agree on Ford being of better quality, but i'll still stick to Japanese Build quality.

I'm not sure if the ordering is different in Canada, but here in the states, we just submitted another order for a batch of 2010 model TSX. Maybe they just told you they were ordering the last so it sounded better?

No, I went to 4 different dealers and no one could get what I wanted. I got THE last CANADIAN Spec'ed PEARL WHITE ON BLACK coming to Canada from Japan not the last TSX but the last one in the color combo, trim and tranny that I wanted.
Orders for 2010 are officially closed to Canada. This is from 4 different dealers at the time I ordered this beauty.

It's nice that Acura still allows different interior colors for the MT option in Canada. In the U.S., if you want the 6 MT, you are forced to choose a white, black or gray exterior, and a black interior. That's it.
Not even an option to special order. If Acura wants to promote the TSX as a sports sedan, then it should offer the same colorway choices for the MT as the AT.

It is a 2010... 2011 start September, according to dealer... Does anyone know if anything significant will change with the 2011?

One thing my dealer told me is that the July production my car is supposed to be a part of had 179 cars destined for Canada, of which ONLY 2 were 6MTs.

As far as i understand it, 2011 can be ordered starting with September production... there should still be a couple of 2010 runs...

JazzyGuy, did you get your car? Apparently, mine didnt make the ship, and is stuck in Japan Dealer is sure it'll be on the next shipment, but is trying to get me a deal on a 2010 TL...
I'm looking into it, but I'm not sure I want to jump to the TL... what i like about the TSX is the handling primarily, and the TL just does not behave the same way... it is more powerful, more spacious, but does not handled the same way... plus, unless i go for the SH-AWD, it has to be automatic...
Time for an extended test drive...

The TL with 6MT is a pretty sweet ride, but thats a cool $10k over the sticker of a TSX 6MT. I test drove them both back to back, and overall feel the TL was a much nicer car. However, I'd take the lighter, more nimble, more fuel efficient TSX than the TL. Plus you can put that extra $10k towards mods if you want to make it faster.

Volnedan, the issue is that the TL would be the AT... the 6MT only comes with the SH-AWD model, which is more than I want to spend on a car at this time..
I'm going to test drive the TL tomorrow, and will decide whether to take the TL now, or the TSX in another month and a bit...
