iPod Connection Temperamental

I think I've seen this mentioned before. My iPod connection randomly says "No Data" and won't load my songs. Its so temperamental now that I can't put anything in the console with my iPod without knocking it out of service. Has anyone figured out a solution to this?

Thanks

Have you tried a different cable? To me, that's step one. Step two would be to try a flash drive to see if it's the iPod. Step three is visit the dealer.

My aux cable crapped out in my 07 Civic Si on Thursday, but the USB cable worked perfectly in the TSX on Friday. They don't gradually go out, they're ok one day, done the next.

Yeah, it's happened to me too, but only when I pick up or otherwise move the iPod. I've found that if you leave it alone at the bottom of the console, it's fine even if you pile stuff on top of it. So just make sure it's at the very bottom of the console and leave it be. I haven't had a problem since, and I have other stuff on top off it.

Not much of help in your situation, but I have had no issues with mine. I even picked it up and shook it a bit... no problems.

Best of luck with yours.

Mine is acting up as well, I have to reconnect it. Sometimes it says no data, sometimes it says it's not compatible. I am using a first gen nano.

I'm having problems as well. I have the newest software for my iPhone. However, my system tells me, "unsupported version."

Ok, today it worked. You're right in using the word, "temperamental."

Mine says "Unsupported Version" but I was told this is because my ipod is an older version (60GB Ipod Photo):

I guess Im going to have to test it with a friends (newer) ipod to see if its the USB port or the ipod.

I have a iPod Video 5g plugged into my radio via USB. Sometimes it will lock up with my radio saying "No Data". I would then have to re-boot my iPod (hold Menu + Center buttons) and everything would be fine again.

It appears that it is because I have an ipod that is not supported by the USB port. I found the following in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-problems-fixes-145/3rd-gen-ipod-getting-unsupported-ver-error-679178/

The 2009 owner's manual says its compatible with the following models and firmwares:

iPod 5G - Ver. 1.2 or more
iPod classic - Ver. 1.0 or more
iPod nano - Ver. 1.2 or more
iPod nano 2G - Ver. 1.1.2 or more
iPod nano 3G - Ver. 1.0 or more
iPod touch - Ver. 1.0 or more
iPhone - Ver. 1.1.1 or more

So I'm just going to have to use the Headphone connector for the time being....until I get a new ipod.

Could just be my car, but for some reason I don't have as many connection problems if i remove the iPod plus the white apple cord every time I take it out. When i leave the white cord plugged in and reconnect I get the "no data" display more often. Weird.

make sure you have your iPod firmware up to date. Also, only use Apple adapters/cords...

I've found that whenever it doesn't load up my songs, I reboot my iphone and it works. Kinda annoying though. And I wish there was a way to import all my contacts into the car through bluetooth or some other way instead of manually entering in all the contacts.
