Interior Scratches

So i seem to have a new scratch on my car everyday... but now it seems to attacked the interior of my car.

This magically appeared today... makes no sense... nothing touches that area ever....

is there anyway to help this look a little better? Thanks.

Dude! Same exact thing with my car! I think the paint is weak and scratches easily. I narrowed it down to phone charger wire. I plan on repainting mine. My car is not even 3 months old!!!

is that the alum trim piece running down the middle?

and I'm not sure painting over it would good.
you can however, vinyl it.

Very carefully. Try a claybar to remove any crud, then a light plastic polish (like polywatch). Finish off with a coat of wax.

It looks like something like briefcase or purse was dragged over that.

that interior trim is PLASTIC with ACURA's own metal chemical creation laid on top.

I WOULDNT USE ANY WAX OR PAINT CLEANER ON THAT.

why doesnt any one ever listen to me....?
is your seat belt next to that trim?!?

on the 3G TL, we have the exact same trim coming down the middle.
our seat belts are known to damage the trim.

yeah my car is 5 months old.... but is what it is... just had the car touched up... and waxed today to fix the exterior as best as it can be.. and looks great... then i noticed the above....

was fuming. its just amazing because there are some scratches on the other side as well... alot less noticeable... but again... no one is really ever in my car, and nothing would touch either area.

and yes justnspace... it is the alum trim down the middle. you think that is something acura can fix with their own chemical creation?

i like the trim, and not sure if i want to vinyl it... was thinking maybe CF if anything, but again... would like to leave as is (minus scratches)

no, its a process... almost like chrome.
they either dip it or lay it on the plastic.

short of getting new ones, there isnt anything you can do.
vinyling it will help the eye sore and keep it protected.

I have a similar problem on passenger side near the seat belt area. Some drunk chic could not find the buckle to snap it in and scratch the interior. #*$%A

did you at least get some from her in return for her scratching the inside? that's the only way to make it "semi-worth" it...

An of you folks have dogs that occasionally take a ride with you? i had a couple in my 2010 TSX, but almost nothing in my 2012 TSX, even with the glossier plastic trim on the console.

That looks like commercial vacuum cleaner hose marks made by stretching that hard, dirty hose over the console.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Came from the hose when I was using a vacuum cleaner. The hose rubbed across that area as I had the vacuum cleaner on the passenger side and stretched the hose across the console to vacuum out the drivers side. NEVER AGAIN will I make that mistake.

Won't help with existing scratches but you can prevent them by covering the bits with clear bra material.

if you do check the car over before you leave. I prefer doing the car washing but with the traveling I do car washes sometimes are necessary. Most of the car washes I have been to have two vacuum hoses-one for each side of the car so no reaching over.

Take it easy chief. There are much more things worth worrying about in life than minor interior scratches on your car.

If you were a perfectionist you would have washed it yourself. No one will treat your car the way you do. Time to pick up a new hobby!

Agree but those scratches look like they would have been noticable immediately at the car wash.

And you reacted by burning down the dealership? Of maybe going Gojira on them?
