I found that one backup light is kind of dim so I got a 50W LED 7440 bulb. Since I could only find pairs, I figured I'll use the second one for the third break light so it's instant-on like the new tail lights. While there, I figured I'll buy some 50W LED turn signals too (BAU15S/PY21W). I'll let you know if they make a difference.

To get the lines to light up in the inner lights (below the reverse light), i think i need to make one more connection from the license plate light. Will do that another day..
can you do a DIY instruction ?

I finally got my LED bulbs today and tried them out. They're not "50W" as advertised but they are brighter than the incandescent ones, so they're probably equivalent to a 30W incandescent.

The reverse bulb worked great as expected. The third break-light, not so much. The bulbs are too long and don't fit. As for the signals, they look great, i like that instant-on/off of LEDs, but again as expected, they hyper-flash, so I'll have to make two new harness adapters that include the resistors.

All in all, I recommend these bulbs and these bulbs.

That's a great price but the guy only has 2 feedback. Think I'd rather pay hpt_ua a few bucks more for the peace of mind & he provides the wiring as well.

I wish I had the funds for the spirior tails...

... then it'd feel incomplete without the EDM fronts, which is another 1k+ on top

I'm on the same boat! I had the funds... but then I thought about all of the things I could do with $600... and I booked a flight to Tampa.

^^yea and then you're driving around, paranoid, hoping that you won't get rear ended (or if you got the headlights - not rear end anyone else) cuz most likely, insurance won't cover those expensive things.

Oh yeah true. No way insurance will cover it. Also they are probably not legal for use in the states...

I have some of the items you are looking for, I do not have the HD 090 connectors, but do have the terminal - listed as HM090 non sealed (same terminal for HD, MT, DS, HM).
I do not have the larger 250 connectors in that style yet, but I do have other 250 connectors that will be compatible. email me at joe@cycleterminal.com if you have any questions.
at 2 posts, i'd suggest you contact our admins and get vendor status if you intend to be a vendor.

Need adapters

I bought the LED taillights for my '09 CU2 as and tried to put them on. Reserve and turn signals are plug and play; the LED (Brake) need a 3 prong when ours have 4 prong. Does anyone know where I could just get adapters instead of doing some cutting to the wires and replace the connectors. I want to keep the OEM ones just in case some happens to my car.

Just tap/splice/solder the wires. Easy peasy.

I've installed them a while back but I think that the 2 to 1 connection splits the license plate light into 2; 1 to the license plate light and 1 to the running light...

Is the "running light" you're referring to also known as the rear fog light? If so, that means the rear fog is always on as long as the head/parking lights are on?

That's what I meant by running light..sorry don't know the proper name..it's the one below the fog/reverse light.

i have contacted the seller on ebay and he said the 2 to 1 cable is connecting to the license plate on the female side. so i'm confused about if the license plate is plugged in to the 2 to 1 cable, how is it going to light up itself? pretty sure the 2 go to the trunk piece, the 1 goes to the license plate. if someone used this before, can you let me know?

thanks

No problem...With the reverse light you just connect the adapters to the current ones (1 to 1) The fog light will act as a reverse light but it will be coloured red..only the right hand side is clear...so when you reverse 1 will be clear and 1 will be red
