few questions

So there's few sets being sold on Au ebay, converted the amount and it's roughly 650ish shipped.

I heard people saying on this thread there are replica ones as well? i'm not familiar with jdm parts but the ebay listing says genuine....

Also do i need the wiring harness?

I'd like to, but price will be the determining factor. I'm a cheap bastard.

If I had $650 + $$ for the harness, I'd go for coils if I wanted cosmetics. Shoot, even FP would do me better.

.. but everyone likes their own flavor of ice cream.

shipping is the only problem with these taillights, i was quoted 600ish including the harness for 5 or more units, but i doubt we will have 5 people interested anyways

Helpful tip: searching is easy! You can use the search function on this site AND/OR Google to look for a solution. Especially for an easy question like replacement bulbs.

That being said, this recent topic was even in the front page, just a handful of topics below this, when you asked. It has some good suggestions:

That's a fun story. Your username seems relevant now.

If you find them on craigslist send them my way please!

Hey there, just wanted to clarify.

Are you saying that in these pictures, the CIRCLED ones are DEPO, and the inner ones are OEM?

If so, I honestly can't tell much difference. Maybe perhaps in the first pic, the red inner plastic parts are a bit darker looking than the OEM ones (when off)

The dark chrome are the Type S model ones, apparently.

Quite so! All of you correctly understood!
Differences aren't present! And quality, time will show!

Bought these about a week ago. Substantially cheaper than the other options I've found. Hopefully, the "get what you pay for" adage doesn't apply itself too harshly this time.

Wish me luck. Here's hoping. I'll report back in 2 or 3 weeks when they get here. I also ordered the plug and play harnesses off of ebay as well.

Yeah those are DEPO, not OEM Honda. But please report back on quality/fit/finish. I've been curious....

Yea I was positive they were knock offs, but I really like the look and I can't justify $600 for tail lights no matter how cool they are. I've looked and looked but I can't find anybody else that went with these instead of OEM. So I guess I'm a little nervous about it now being the first lol. I'm more anxious than eager at this point.

I will definitely post up pics and a review once they're in. Hopefully we'll all discover this cheaper option to the look we want.

I've read that the only real difference is that there's no cutout for the bulbs on the replicas. If this is true, you'll need to cut a hole to fit the bulbs. This is just speculation however, since like you, I haven't seen anyone else claiming they bought/installed the reps.

Good luck! We're very interested

Hmm, can you explain a little more please? I'm having trouble visualizing what you mean when you say there is no cutout for the bulbs.

Simply restating what I read online . I can't seem to find the post anymore... but I also have no idea what this means.
