Finally got my 2009 TSX.

I got it from completely different reason that what people usually buy TSX.
My TSX 2006 getting old and will requred new tires and maintance over 2 to 3 years. So i traded it for 2009 lease with certain maintanance/protection extra for 7 years so when i chose to buy at end of lease i will have this protection. Also i figure out that they way Auto Sales are going down there wont be that many second hand 2009/10 TSX to chose but there is flood of 2004 to 08 for trade in so prices have gone down appreciably.
Cant comment on fuel economy as this new. Car feels more substantial in looks and alot better in power delivery, better in sound insulation, the music system/bluetooth/rearview camera is worth the price and convenience.

congrats and many miles of safe driving. Almost traded my 06 in but decided to keep it at least one more year. Waiting to test drive the 2010 TL with the MT when it arrives. My 06, bought new 2 years ago 11/17 has 65,000+problem free miles.

Congrats on the purchase.

Why lease it though if you intent to buy it at the end?

They were giving lower payments on lease and it gives more flexibility incase i change my mind in next 3 to 4 years. Car is not by definition investment property. always disposable as it has unlimited production lines while housing has finite land and location. I tend to think there will be fundamental adjustment in currencies specially Japanese Yen and production capacities. Now Japanese are laying off autoworkers and triming there production that combine with input cost and lower sales of TSX will make TSX attractive buy in next 3 to 4 years when economy recovers and less TSX available on used lot and new one has rising price. Even private party sale will be fine. It is 4cylinder car always will have advantage over 6 cylinder.

Very True. Any car out there with a good resale value, it's usually smarter to lease. Especially with most people going through cars every 3 to 5 years. Saves money, makes more expensive cars more affordable, gives you more options, etc.... Congrats on the car. I almost got white.

Understandable. My last car (2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan) was a lease but my work gave me a car allowance. When I got a promotion the car allowance was removed (promotion far outweighed the car allowance) so I decided to buy my next vehicle. I had my old car for 7 years and have no problem holding onto a vehicle for 6-8 years, esspecially when I know I like it and do a few mods to it. So it just made sense for me to buy instead of lease.

Thanks for replies. It seems alot of forum members almost got White.
TSX white color is unique Unlike TL/RL or various Lexus models which are whiteish but TSX white color is a little mild/yellow. At night or in the rain it looks very nice. It is added safety.
Only TSX and RL are the cars that i like the most design wise. RL rear end (tail lights) and side is very nice much better looking than MB S Class or any other car for that matter.
RL hides its size very well. TL now looks bigger than RL. TL is now more like a boat.

Congrats SSFTSX. Please do a pros and cons list of the 09 vs. the 06. I am interested to hear 1G owners impressions on 2G. Thanks and enjoy the ride.

Both engine ( more power delivery at lower rpm) and cabin is quieter. There is less shaking of body during breaking. I always thought 1G has better cornering ability but today i took same sharp exit that i used to take everyday to my work on 2G TSX. A person dont feel that it is even in cornering for comparable speeds like 40 to 45mph. It is more refined crusier. I also think that side view mirros are bigger so less blind spot on freeway driving. (1G sideview mirros are alot smaller).
In reverse the right side mirror goes down auto for seeing side curbs. I always had this problem as rearview camera difficult to estimate curbs.
Cant comment on fuel economy and overall power as i havent driven past 65mph. but it seems it has alot more power for standing start. I will wait for fuel economy figures after my second tank. it is already getting over 22 mpg.
Its a 3500lbs car.

Follow update
Sharp U-Turns.
I always had difficulty on single lane roads with incoming traffic as 06 TSX wander around too much so i have to use backup. This one can do the turn in one go at much higher speed.
Stability in Normal gear.
I always put the car in normal on redlights stops to conserve brakes. 09 stay at same spot even in some upward tilt road but 06 always goes into back motion. so always look for anything behind me. now not anymore.
fuel economy.
It is beating the old one even it is in breaking in period. I think alteast 3mpg difference under same driving conditions.

I already got OEM 18' chrome rims and will install it next week than i will post of some pix.. dealer is giving good deal on OEM Yoko Advan Sport. Tires looks ok but has only 180AA tread life.
I was thinking of putting clear bra on it but than i though later on i put aerokit on it so it will be of no use. i am afraid of the kit will increase the overhand or lower it. I am already hitting the ground as bayarea has to manny ups and downs.
Will rapaint the grill if i see couple of TSX in real life with painted grill how they look like.

Congratulation on purchase. I do like driving 09 TSX also. Almost putting 600 mile a week which is not normal.
I think TSX in Silver do look good with black interior.
but for some reason when ever i buy a car i endup getting white.

white was my other choice...I think I would have liked the deep blue, had it not been for the grille. imo.

I think that Arctic blue peral of 07-08 looks much better than 09 Blue.
Sliver and Red are the best color matching this TSX.

Thanks. I bought Tech. I am now used GPS screen on freeways as it reminds the exit before it comes otherwise i will miss the exits or not the change lanes on time in fast driving. So GPS is everyworth. in SF bayarea. real time information work almost same way as www.511.org. tech package is worth it.

Looks great! Congrats on the new TSX!

How is Oakland Acura? I've only been to a few Acura dealers in the Bay Area. I hate Acura of Pleasanton, and I had a great experience at Prestige Acura in Santa Rosa.

Sales staff is very nice. they helped in swaping OEM stuff with accessories. Its a family owned dealership. I would recommend them. In bayarea for service/parts Acura of seramonte is also very good.

Silver color matches the rim style and color. just add color matching splash guards and it is ready to go.
