I believe we will choose the color temperature and the lens type when we checkout on the exLED website. Once the group buy is complete, it is my understanding that we will get a special coupon code for this group buy to use on the website that will provide the correct discount. All transactions will be handled through the exLED website. Once we have the final list and final details I will post instructions on the forum

If you want in on this group buy, make sure you add yourself to the list by copying the list and adding your name at the end in a new post.

Currently the LED boards are being manufactured and will not be in to exLED until the end of this week or early next week. Because of this we are extending the group buy until the end of the day on Thursday (June 6, 2013). The kits should ship early next week once everyone has completed their purchase for this group buy.

thanks mtdew for setting up the group buy... can they mix around the lights i.e. what pyro wants; different color temp for different sections???... i know Idmtoy doesnt do it for their kits

I checked with exLED and typically color choice costs extra, but for this group buy it will be free. Please include a note in the memo if you have any special color requests.

There are a few issues though. The site says '05~'13 - that clearly isn't right.

Of a bit more concern is the shipping which is added on as $5 to get to the discounted price of $91.24 but shipping is free at the non-discounted price.

Now we are getting things like the clip on lenses (and different colors if requested) at no cost but the $5 free shipping is a bit of "three card Monte" - I'd rather pay $6 for a lens and retain the "free" shipping rather than lose transparency and have people feel cheated.

ok guys i am lost with this whole lens issue, what is the difference on the clear and cream? and can someone show me a 5k and 6k difference

As I understand it, the white dissipates the light slightly so multiple LED units look more uniform. The cream is more frosted, giving a slightly more uniform light but reducing output a bit more and warming the light slightly.

Neither should reduce light output appreciably.

I could be completely wrong here but that is what I got from the photos and descriptions.

as for the color -- I have 5K which is bright white; 6K will be more blue (how blue IDK).

this is very accurate as I have the clear lens on my front map only to help spread and diffuse the light. its nothing MAJOR and the lens do pop ON and OFF by hand. all other leds do not use the lens.

I saw where it says '05~'13, which is why it is very important to state your yr model, such as Acura TSX CU2, '09~'13 (for 2nd gen) or TSX - CL9 ('05~'08) for first gen.

The notes will come in the step 4 of the check out, and thats' where you will note all you need to place the order....

That depends. Can you get cheaper LEDs on fleabay? Of course but then you also get spotty quality and iffy customer service.

I remember when robpp bought these and worked with them to get the wagon lights right. Every time there is an issue, these guys step up to resolve it.

In addition, the fact that at least one Acura dealer is selling these may go far if there is a warranty dispute.

You have to pay to play. Paying a bit more upfront may save you headaches in the long run.
