Lens are like diffusers. These are so bright the the lens takes away some of the harshness. I have these only on my 2 map lights.
You def need them with white IMO not do much with other colors although I did use them with my blue.

What color temps are most using and what's the difference between clear and clear white lenses for the map lights?

the clear white just breaks up the light even more than clear.

i have the clear ones on and felt they are needed with the white leds.

i then swapped to blue and I used the lens but the are not as necessary.

5000K looks the most OEM (cars that actually have LEDs) and that's what I got and love them....it is a pure white light.

this is the lenses they are talking about -- totally unnecessary IMO....

I had issues with the lic plate LEDs being bad and blowing fuses...another member had the same issue...I had to send the LEDs back for another pair.

I got the 5k set for my car, and I'm happy they way they look. The dimmer didn't work for me on the map light. I was sent two more map light modules, and the dimmer didn't work on those two either. I'm fine with how they look without being dimmed any, as I don't think they are excessively bright, so I never followed up any more.

I forgot about that - probably because I wouldn't swap those out anyway.

Thanks for the reminder. I also know one guy had issues recently too but he probably shouldn't have attempted any mod in the first place.

I just got the following update from exLED. As part of this group buy, all Acurazine members will receive the clip lenses for free (choice of clear white or cream white).

The discount breakdown is as follows:
10 people - 20% off + free clip lenses (clear white or cream white)
20 people - 25% off + free clip lenses (clear white or cream white)
30 people - 27% off + free clip lenses (clear white or cream white)

Shipping for all orders will be $5.00.

Once we have a final list, I will forward it to exLED and they will send a PayPal invoice to each user (they will need your PayPal ID for this). The other option is to call and pay by credit card over the phone.

So far it looks like we have the 10 people discount in the bag. Lets see if we can get to 20 people!

I was thinking we would end the group buy at the end of this week unless anyone would like to propose a different end date.

As of now I will send the final list of people to exLED on June 2, 2013.

In the mean time I will need to get PayPal ID's from everyone that will want to be in on the group buy. I'm thinking the best way to do this would be to copy the list and send me your PayPal ID next to your Acurazine Username as a PM.
