exLED company problem (no response from calls / emails / etc)

I ordered an exLED interior conversion kit. I ordered it on 1/2/16, and living in NJ and the order being shipped from Cali I assumed a little over a week would be the timeline. I received a confirmation email and was charged via paypal.

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow, I have not received any shipping tracking number or anything. I emailed them twice and called them a total of 30 times and no response. I am considering calling my credit card and cancelling the order.

Anyone have this issue? I did my research and apparently this is an extremely small operation, apparently one guy who runs it got in a car accident, and there is on only one english speaking person who works there. Of course I find this out after all the issues I am having with the company, otherwise everyone here seems to have rave reviews.

Anyway, if I cancel the order successfully, what other company / brand sells great quality LED interiors that won't pull this crap. I've heard of vleds that's about it.

I know this post belongs in electronics but I don't see enough activity going on there, and this is time sensitive as to I am waiting for your responses before I do this.

Thanks.

Gin Lee is who we all dealt with.

that was a few years ago for me.

I would believe the story of a one man operation.

go to paypal or cc and get a refund.

search others have used some of the ebay bulbs I never had much luck.

vleds is another good place.. superbriteleds also good.

Running ebay LED's for the interior for almost a year now. Do what they're suppose to. Ordered in bulk, swapped out bulbs in the other vehicles in the family fleet and have extra's laying around should a bulb poop out.

I emailed the guy directly. He provided it through driveaccord.net as people were experiencing similar issues. I also messaged him through paypal since paypal suggests this is the first step to take before arguing having my payment be refunded. Well see how this goes...

That's too bad because the quality is top notch and the service we all got a few years was great.

I ordered mine a couple years ago and had just missed the group buy on here, and Gin Lee let me get in on that after the fact, and when I received my order, I was missing one LED and he had it shipped out the very next day. The car accident must have been pretty bad. Also a friend of mine ordered his from another company and they give off less light than the original lights did. Might be worth it to wait.

I ordered a set about a week before you (I think) and had pretty much no communication as well. They finally shipped and I got a tracking number that says it is supposed to be delivered yesterday.

But still waiting.

FWIW, I don't think you're getting ripped off. It's just a bit slow. Good product though, so patience is a virtue here.

I got my kit today but I ordered for the wagon and paid the $10 extra. I am missing two rear hatch lights and a set of sun visor lights. I called, texted, and emailed with zero response.......I will be contacting paypal shortly if I dont get a response.

Does anyone have the direct email?

I will. I filed a complaint through Paypal. I think the first step is them contacting the seller and trying to resolve the issue to see if they are aware and do end up shipping soon. I would rather that happen as I am hearing these are the best way to go. If nothing, I get refunded and Ill go find another website to buy from.

Next step also for me is LED DRL and maybe foglights. Any recommendations for those?

same here, I was debating getting the exLED, ijdmtoy or ebay special.
for $12 shipped that includes interior and license plate, I went with ebay special, pretty happy, I also happened to go to LA and I stopped at the ijdmtoy store and the led that I got on ebay looked the same and where the same brightness. Only issue I've had (6 months) is that one got loose (driver door) and was not powering, I took it out and wedge it back in and no more issues to date.

Someone got back to me through Paypal and promised them to be shipped by Thursday, so well see what happens. Also, I ordered the 6k... Please tell me that is not obnoxiously blue. I want a "cool white" look as advertised, so wondering if any of you actually have the 6k or have seen them. I see someone got 5k, and I saw someone else joke about having "blue ones".

Again, thanks for the help

Also, while we are talking.... I am looking for advice for LED DRL / High beams... saw this:
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...l#.Vp7nklMrIfM

Thoughts, any recommendations? I would prefer plug and play, not messing or buying any extra crap, but I am not technically inclined dealing with car wiring (I have a friend that is, don't worry wont attempt on my own). I would like look and performance and these seem to be it, but any other ideas would be welcomed.

Even though these are HID bulbs, this picture is a pretty accurate representation of color temperature:
3000K vs 4300K HID Bulb

This is an example of 5K vs OEM:

Well, my order finally showed up last night. Ordered 4 lights on 27-Dec. Arrived 19-Jan.

I wasn't there when they arrived but there was a bunch of hay by the mailbox so I suspect they came by packmule.

Hopefully OP gets his soon as well.

it wasnt a joke, i had BLUE interior exled leds. in the BM

the 6000K is going to have some blue tint to it.

I had their 5000K exleds and they are pure white IMO.

they do sell diffusers IIRC.

I looked back at your build post and was happy with what I saw with your 6k LED interior. I did not realize you actually got blues for your doors haha.

i had the WHOLE SET BLUE fwiw.

I went through many leds on other vehicles.

I put these exLeds in my wagon and never touched them again....except for switching from white to ALL BLUE.

but never an OUT bulb or LED, they make them correctly.

and they are also adjustable.

and for reals they sell diffusers that will make the 6000K more like 4500 if you feel the need. they snap on over the leds.

Wow!!!! I thought I was the only one experiencing this. I placed a order since 12/22. Sent email and called and Mike replied on 12/30 that they are experiencing high volumes of order that they should be sent soon.... No problem.

I sent another email a little over a week ago. No response yet. I've been calling and sending emails but no response or even acknowledgement of any sort. It's a shame cos I really need the product I ordered but their customer service skills is going to run down their business
