Euro Accord i-DTEC Engine Specs

New for 09 the Diesel engine in the Euro Accord now make 110 KW @ 4000 RPM and 350 NM @ 2000 RPM.

In US units that is 148 Hp @ 4000 RPM and 258 lb-ft of Torque @ 2000 RPM.

I wonder how what the specs will be for the 2010 TSX??

Someone over at TOV made an interesting point. Those specs mention the diesel runs on a 1800 bar while Honda has talked about using 2000 bar for their NA diesels. Not sure how that translates to power but I'm certain the NA spec engine will make more than 148 HP.

If they could get 170 hp with the same torque it would definitely make for a fun ride, especially if you could still get 40mpg or better highway mileage.

I don't know enough about diesels to know if that is even possible.

^ Definitely is possible, Audi and BMW have some nice power'd diesels out there. Europe only of course.

I don't think torque is ever a problem for diesels, I'd be worried about the tranny.
