DO NOT buy anything from VIS Racing

Long story short.. I bought a CF aero kit for my RX8 back in February and discovered the fitment was piss poor for the amount I spent on the kit. So I took the 30% restocking fee hit and packed everything back up nicely to return the kit for a refund.

Fast forward to today. Exactly 3 months since I got the official OK from VIS to return the kit and still NO refund and lots more nickel and diming from them for so called damage to the front lip which they have NOT produced a picture for evidence. Even still, I just told them to go ahead and deduct the $75 and just credit my Visa card. Guess what? Still NO refund. Any suggestion as to where I can take this? Just hate taking a $1500 hit for no reason!

Make a claim with your Visa card people about their lack of action, the item was not as described, etc and you returned it and still no refund. 3 months is more than enough time to process a refund.

This is actually easy and IMO fa fun learning experience. File a claim in small claims court. They can't send a lawyer either. But yea file a complaint and seek relief. 9/10 time you'll get a refund quickly. Since your in Maryland you can file there as VIS did business with you in the state. MD court will have jurisdiction because of that. It's really easy to do and can get a quick result.

Sue for full amount, fuck their restock few, and then charge extra for what it cost you to ship and lost wages for court. Doesn't matter if one of those gets dismissed, may as well screw them. They tried to defraud you

Wow they charge such a chunk of change for the kit and the bastards have shitty customer service? Talk about doing lousy business practices... Good luck on getting the refund!

THIS. The simplest and easiest solution.

So you got what you wanted - quit-yer-bitchin

File with Visa and follow up in small claims for the full amount (including the 30% restocking fee).

Do both at the same time and you'll get a refund.

This is not 100% correct. They can still send a lawyer in Small Claims Court. Lawyer won't be doing all the work for them, but can still advice and be the consultant right there on the spot. They just have to be there too in some sort of representation capacity. If they are sneaky enough, their lawyer will be the one representing them too. But if you do go the SCC route, ask for the maximum damages allowed in your jurisdiction. The amount will always drop, so go for the max (if it is reasonable within three times).

wow what an annoying situation. I really hope you do something about it to maybe teach them a lesson. VIS is a pretty large company, they really need someone to stand up and be like fuck you no more of your BS

A couple things you could do.

1) Contact your credit card company. If you paid with AMEX they are stellar. The time elapsed is great, but things can still be done. Work with them.

2) If you can't get a refund, make a Youtube video about your experience or a blog post. Then buy up search keywords on Google and Bing for "VIS Racing" -- I can't imagine the cost-per click to be insane. Direct all traffic to your review about your experience about poor service. Make sure you tag your online posts very well so that your posts will have solid organic traffic and then you won't even have to pay per click.

Companies who provide experiences like that should suffer by having their truth revealed. You should copy and paste this post to their Owner / COO.

Wings West made quality parts dating back to late 80s early 90s with hints of knock off designs here or there out of Costa Mesa.

ViS located in E-LA was trying to piggy back off Veilside Japan, went as far misleading people believe they were the "US Veilside" at car shows back in the late 90s early 00s. They made poor fitting knock offs back then with some of their own designs here or there.

Eventually the market became over saturated with rice companies after the Fast and Furious came out. WW molds and brand was bought by ViS after their demise.

Good news! Filed a dispute with Visa (Navy Federal CU) and they are going to bat for me and getting me a full refund. As a matter of fact, there's a pending credit on my account for the full $1500
