It's a big ass red button in the center console... If that shit launched missiles at dick drivers then I would be ok with it being red lol. Or if the big red botton shit out tiny little puppies (eyes still closed) I would be ok with it. Or if the red button instantly tinted my windows for privacy, I'd be fine with it. Or if the red button activated a dump valve for my exhaust I would be ok with it. I would even be ok with the red button activating optional retractable hood vents. Other than those options, I want my button the way it is!!

I'm mostly kidding around lol, except the puppy thing. That would be sweet haha. Everyone has their own tastes, as long as you like it in the end that's what matters. I dont care for the red button and other people don't care for my red sticker lol. Everyone's got their own style goin on!

I still want that red cluster though hahaha

I had a dream about puppies last night. Probably because I played with one all day yesterday!

When you think about it, a button is really just a glorified switch. Ponder on that one for a while.

There's a club in Miami and I think one in Vegas (I can't remember. Lol) that has that type of glass in the VIP area.

Very cool stuff. It turns frosty with some electric current.

I wonder if it would still work if you had normal tint still on the windows. Like 30% or something

The button looks great and the instructions on installing it were fantastic, but does it does it improve your 0-60 acceleration,60-0 braking or handling?

I think the RDX brake caliper covers might be a better bang for the buck for cosmetics- I think you can get a set of 4 covers for the same price.

I am curious to know why Honda would have even have two different hazard buttons. Why not just save money and reduce complexity and have one standard worldwide?

Do European standards require all-red hazard dashboard buttons so they are easier to locate in an emergency?

Honda went cheap on a number of items, like the switchblank on the passenger door for TSXs for the trunk release.

This seems one item it could have standardized across the TSX and Euro Accord.

you can DIY for somewhere like 100-200 per window. its a sick concept, but prices are too high for me

I think I saw somewhere it was like $1500 installed for all windows except front windshield. The privacy tint is pretty expensive.

Neat DIY! I went ahead and created a post referencing this link on my site so anyone who see the button online will be able to link back here for the install.

I was really happy to come up with this neat JDM trinket for the CU2. Those of us who have been modding Japanese cars (let alone, possessing a diver's license) for more than 10-12 years or so can appreciate the fact that real, legit Genuine Honda JDM items are not inexpensive but carry along the quality and pride that was built into the car from day one. Understanding that cosmetic changes may not be something most people are willing to pay for, and of those who are doing touch-up or stick on facsimiles are certainly more cost effective, the JDM items we offer are best described with one word: exclusive.

We can appreciate that most people would not install this part, and our hat is off to those that go against convention to achieve the look and quality that only comes from Genuine Honda parts.

If anyone else knows of some neat foreign market items for this car, drop me a line to support@heeltoeauto.com and I will see about getting them for you!

Marcus

Hello, awesome stuff but im still confused on how to remove the radio. I tried to do what you did but for some reason it didn't work for me ( I could be doing it wrong ). Is there a special bracket or process to take it off? Thanks so much for you time.

for step 6 there's 2 additional screws holding the radio in place on the bottom....get a flashlight and look below the radio

Is there any chance you could measure the length of the red button section for me? I would really appreciate it.

OP - belated thanks for this. I was looking for a few DIY upgrades to keep my ride fresh (and help justify not jumping into a TLX), and found this post.

An order from HeeltoeAuto a few days ago, and 45 minutes on the weekend, and it was installed. Pulling the surround garnish from my 6MT was a little more difficult than your 5AT, but it all worked.

I actually use my hazards frequently in the SF Bay Area, as traffic inexplicably goes from 65 MPH to a dead stop on the freeways in a quarter mile. I will put on my flashers for a couple of seconds to alert the drivers behind me so they don't slam into me. It's saved me a few times.

The only thing cooler was if the button flashed when pressed. Unless it's supposed to do that and I wired it wrong.

Happens in Toronto too. I turn on my hazards for a couple of flashes as well to avoid getting rear ended.</p>
