decision decision decision....

alright, so im VERY excited for heeltoe's jdm replica grille and have been dying to get it. however, a shop in my area is selling a display, never used, injen intake for only $150...its VERY tempting...so my question is...which one shuold i get? i only have enough moeny for one item, as i want to save a few bucks as well, i know the intake deal dont come that often and 150 is almsot 50% off...but i also really want the grille as it'll make my car unique and take off the damn grille...

discuss.

wow that's an amazing price for the intake--almost the cost of a short ram.

Sounds like you really want the grille though so you should just get that--don't just hop on the deal cause its a deal...you could always get an injen used for about that price later on.

Personally I'd get the intake though cause I actually like the bucktooth

An intake is awesome because it enhances your driving experience. You spend so much time in your car, dont you want to be able to hear that sweet k24 of yours? hehe honestly up to you though ed. I say intake first.. you will love it!

bingo!
you're gonna spend 150 on SOUND?

dont know if the TSX is like the TL, butt my cold air intake from the factory is already geared towards performance.
you would be hard pressed to actaully improve the design

this is hard..orginally, i didnt want to start on any engine mod untill my warrenty runs out..but then came across the deal and now i dont know what to do...grille + intake resonator delete..or just intake. i've always wanted the injen intake over the ct or takeda or aem or w/e...so this is perfect (except its not black, but polisehd, but i guess thats ok)...but thanks for the advices and stuff guys, keep them coming!!

are you deciding on whether or not to buy a $150 cai vs an over $400 grill? i think you should buy the cai now, and then in a couple months buy the grill. Do you even know when the grill will become available?

Also, will I get yelled at if I tell you to plasti-dip your grill in the meantime???

I say get the grille. unique. ive had an intake on my old car before and its alright. better if there was an exhaust too. if your doing it for the sound, take off your resonator. you'll turn heads more with the grille

who wants to hear a growl for $150?
when you can hear the same growl for free by removing the intake resonator.

the grill would be player.

I'd get the grill and remove the resonator, or even just the plastic tube that connects the resonator.

The CAI won't give you impressive HP gains. Maybe +5whp gains when it's all said and done. If you're doing it for the noise, you could just take off your resonator like people have already said...it'll have basically the same effect.

What's the grille look like? I haven't been keeping up with our aftermarket support(because it's basically been nil all along, lol).

Ya, check out the shift key too. This isn't text or IM (though that's still no excuse in my opinion).... you should try the concept of CAPITALS in polite conversation. I'd say invest that $150 and leave the car the way Honda meant it, but..... I was a kid once too. Flip a coin......
