Best Car Phone Holder for TSX on ebay?

I am once again sorry for posting this...

Since TSX front windshield seems to be vertically short, there would be less visibility right? So those phone holder with air suction to stick onto the glass would be overwhelming right?

And I tried the air vents ones.... and i DO NOT want them... horrible...

I know there are good ones but I try to stay within budget of $10-20 range...

Can anyone tell me what they are recommending or what they are using?

thanks!!!

I know you said no air vent ones but I absolutely love my Kenu Airframe. It's $25 but you might be able to find it for less on ebay. It's the bomb.net.

I was toying with the idea of getting a holder but I ended up just flipping up the (Cointtay/ashtray) and the cigarette lighter and balancing my phone there since I have an Otterbox Defender that's square enough to balance.

I'm currently using the nGroove Snap 2 by Mountek. Its a mount that fits right into my TSX cd's slot. Its very sturdy and has been the best holder I've used so far. It has a magnetic piece that I just have under my Galaxy S3 case which then connects to the magnetic mount which sits in the cd-slot. There currently is a new version nGroove Snap 3, which may or may not be better, but its worth checking out. My only dis-like is that my phone blocks my radio power button/volume button when attached, but not a big deal as there is a volume button steering wheel.

I used this one for a while with my S4 and loved it!!! Only gripe was that my phone wouldn't fit with the case on which quickly became annoying. Ultimately resulted in me snapping the top portion of the mount when I tried fitting it with the case on, lol.

I purchased a similar one for my iPhone 6 and hopefully this one has a longer life span.

The one I used to have that snapped was made by Sonic IQ.. here's a link to one on eBay. I bought mine off Groupon but the deal is no longer available. It was super solid and great quality.... only complaint was that it would swing side to side very slightly when turning... but didn't really bother me.

This is the one I just bought & can't review yet:

I highly recommend a Proclip angled mount, and then attach a 17mm ball mount to that. Then put a magnet mount on the ball. Absolute perfection.

I ended up with a procarclips base holder and igrip holder...

Thanks for the picture.

I actually have a kenu air frame and I do like it, but the way the dash and vent is shaped the iphone sits a weird angle and is in the way of some of the buttons for the audio.

If i do not go with an after market double din, I may just get this instead. It would save me a lot of money, but the functionality of a touch screen double din would be better. We shall see.

Nite Ize STCK-11-R8 Steelie Car Mount Kit

I drive a lot and dislike how my phone would cover my AC vents, ended up buying a cheap ebay magnet car mount, after my traditional dash mount suction cup loss its magic, the magnet on the ebay kit was garbage ($3 china kit) so I ended up forking $20 on amazon for the Nite Ize STCK-11-R8 Steelie Car Mount Kit, the magnet is super strong!

Only issue you have to deal with is that the magnet is stuck behind your phone, it's not bulky and doesn't get in the way, just gets some time to get used too.

Pro is that you can attach your phone on any metal surface when working on stuff like in the garage. I got one for my work cell and one for my iPhone 6+. Amazon just lowered the price to $16.58 for those interested. It stays on firm and does not slide, I took it off road and phone stayed at the same position.

Here are some crappy pictures take by Samsung galaxy s6

and one picture taken by iphone of the TSX mounting location lol

well they do advise against it if you use wireless mat charger or wireless charge case since it will interfere with the charge.

So far for my use, about 1 month now, no issues, only issue reviews do caution about is credit cards getting demagnetize, lol So far my cards work, my navigation works, product has been out for a few years and no reported issues, read lots of reviews before I did the jump, I was also concerned.

I'm using one of those gooseneck + clamp holders off Amazon (and eBay). I think I paid $11.99 with free shipping. Mine is clamped to the lower trim by the shift knob base, and bent to have the phone just off to the right of the steering wheel.

you have any issues with GPS / Phone signal with this set up? I heard people say the magnet really messed with the GPS on the phone.

I got one of these recently for my iPhone I use the metal plate inside the phone and no drama. Its metal so I like that it looks class and there is nothing protruding on the back of my phone case. My wife liked it so much its her Valentines present and my mom wanted one to.

I don't use my CD player so this works well for me:
Amazon.com: Car Mount TechMatte MagGrip CD Slot Magnetic Universal Car Mount Holder for Smartphones including iPhone 6, 6S, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: Car Mount TechMatte MagGrip CD Slot Magnetic Universal Car Mount Holder for Smartphones including iPhone 6, 6S, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

My phone happens to be magnetic enough to note need the metal sticker. If you use a case it comes with a metal plate. TechMatte also offers a vent clip style.

They are highly recommended on thewirecutter.com Both models have also been on sale recently, check out slickdeals.net for the coupon codes.

Yes sir!

Still loving it!

All 3 of my cars have them now. Got a new work cell phone, took of the magnet from old phone, used a new sticky 3m (that came in that kit. they send you 2 extras sticky's in the kit) and now it's on the new phone. No issues with electronic, no interference, gps works and so far no credit cards have been demagnetize, I am believer.

Just keep your eye on the cost, amazon has been the cheapest place for me if you pull the trigger, REI/Home depot sells the same kit for $40! lol

On the other hand I finally got one of those that clips to the vent. Weight of my Moto E, pulls the vent down. If I'm not careful the clamp will lower the volume. Sometimes the clamp will interfere with the head unit, turning on the radio. Seems to loose cell signal more often then when I left the phone in the cubby hole. In the end it works, but it's not great, and again I'm thinking of Android Auto.
