i always would manually turn off the auto headlight because I have gotten used to it..

but, nowadays, I just leave them on and i set it up so that the light would turn off after 15 seconds...

However, I just noticed today that when I shut off the engine and let's say i wait in the car for someone, it won't shut the light... like i waited to see if it turns off.. after 5 mins, nope.

I would always have to either manually turn it off or have to open and close the door then it shuts itself...

anyone have any ideas??

I think you have to pull the key out of the switch.

I didn't log into the forum for a while waiting for an answer...

but, yes, I did try taking out the key and left the door closed... but to no avail, still auto light is on..

which is kind of annoying if i do stay in the car and manually turn it off.

2012 TSX Wagon here. I tried your experiment -- I sat and waited in my car, headlights on auto, ignition key out. The headlights turned off in about 5 minutes.
