After-market Blind Spot monitor?

Has anyone installed an after market blind-spot monitor in the 2012 TSX with Tech package? I've seen threads in the TL forum about it.

an industry insider said the one that was installed on the TL sucked.
and why would different makes matter!? it's a universal product. if the TL did it, you can too!

Thanks justnspace. I saw that the TL version of the Gosher's upgrade kit did provide indicator lights, but that the TL OEM trim and indicator was used which sounded more appealing. I did more research - well, at the Acura website, and I don't see that the TSX ever came with an indicator light for Blind Spot Monitoring. I also wasn't aware that the Gosher's package wasn't worth the trouble. The TL thread had painted the sensors to match the car, but that seemed to cause an issue, though Gosher's said it could handle a thin base coat and clear coat. I almost caused an accident on my way to work the other day and figured I'd look into it.

Definitely not meaning to come off as rude, but this "feature" is really more of a modern day gimmick IMO, and you should never rely on it to decide whether it's safe to switch lanes or not. IMO, as long as you check your blind spot everytime you switch lanes, you'll be fine.

I've driven a few of the newer cars and I found the false-positives to be really annoying. Even worse, if one starts to rely on this feature, false-negatives will surely get you into an accident.

Just an opinion... and IMO from that thread, definitely not worth the trouble.
