Acura TSX sport bumper question
Hey everyone,
I'm new to acurazine forum and I have looked through all the threads and posts about the sport bumper but I just had a couple questions I needed to clear up. So first, I have a 2012 Acura TSX, and recently it was involved in an accident where the front bumper and grill needed to be replaced, so I'm deciding to use this opportunity to get the sport bumper.
From my understanding, the bumper is for 2009-2010, and it does fit the 2011+ except that it needs the 09-10 grille and fog light housing. So my questions are as follows:
-does the bumper go on the exact way that the 2011+ goes on? Direct and exact fit, and same screws and bolts?
- for fog light housing, is it the whole fog light assembly, just the black outside cover, or all the above?
- if I were to put the 2009 Honda Accord grille on it, is it a direct fit too, or is there some sort of modification needed for it to fit in there?
I
I read all the posts and threads on this that I could find, I'm sorry if I missed some information. I'm only asking because I'm most likely getting the parts replaced at a collision shop to make sure there's no damages apart from that, and I don't want the shop to come across difficulties of the bumper wasn't a direct fit.
Thank you all.

The Acura is in pearl white and Bernardi Acura does offer it in the white color, so it should be good. Do you happen to know if it's a direct fit?

If you have a white 2012 TSX, it is probably the Bellanova White (crisp, snow white)
The '09-10 is the Premium White Pearl (creamier white), therefore they are different shades of white.
The sport/Modulo bumper will be PWP, so it won't match your '12 TSX (need confirmation).
Nonetheless, the sport bumper would be a direct fit granted that you have the 09-10 fogs and grill.

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
Everyone who responded is correct.
09-11 is Premium White Pearl (PWP); NH624P.
12-14 is Bellanova White Pearl (BWP); NH788P.
There will be a colour mismatch. Acura does not make the FRONT sport bumper in NH788P in North America. As far as I know (and I've done a lot of research on this bumper in BWP, because I own a BWP TSX), the only place that sells a factory painted BWP front Sport bumper is in Russia.
If you absolutely really want this front bumper and have it match, you'll need it repainted to NH788P at a shop, and whatever blending techniques they use to get the colour to match.
Good luck

that is very true, however it just inflates the cost of the bumper itself. My wife had her orchid pearl (same Nh788) repainted by a shop after an accident, and I couldn't see the difference. and mugen requires you to really go "all out".. drop, wheels, etc etc.
oem front atleast you can go for a milder look that is less expensive

you made it sound as if it was the end of the world because the stealer didnt sell the bumper painted in the correct color.
if you want something bad enough a few dollars dont matter.

Or perhaps my main concern is the value of the vehicle. I lost value on the accord s/t aftermarket paint. Albeit it was contributed to an accident, although not documented, it still had an impact on the value of my car. A good assessor can tell the difference between OEM and aftermarket paint. What's wrong with voicing discontent for circumstances that impact me as well as others. Considering the topic of discussion, I find no fault in the content of my posts. I also do not find that I made it sound like it was "the end of the world". Although I believe you meant no harm, your overly dramatic exaggeration does feel unwarranted and out of place. I just wanted to voice my perspective on the matter. I hope you do not take offense to my stance. I do not wish to engage in puerile arguments over something so trivial. Have a great day.
