On the bottom part the top plug goes into the ballast the bottom goes into the headlight oem holder. Usually its ugh... Cleaner. Any extra adaptors?

Aren't there instructions included in your purchase? I think the stock connections are supposed to go into the ballast, then the ballast wires go out and connect to the bulb. It's been a while since I looked into this but that's what I remember...you DO have to use those two wires that you didn't use.

If I remember correctly, idid it about two weeks ago. Still trying to get time to post a do it yourself. The bulb should have a big plug coming from it, I believe a male, and a male and female of the small connectors. Attach those three to the ballast, attach the ballast big connector to your oem wire for the fogs. Repeat for the other side

nice pick up. so 6k low beams and 6k fogs eH?
i seriously hope you dont mess up the electrical system because that'll cost you 6k to repair it. no pun intended
just messing with ya.
should be an straight forward install. you just gotta figure out how to mount the ballasts
the red and black wires will plug into your OEM foglight harness. while the other end of it will plug into the ballast

work from it by doing it backwards.
1. install the hid bulbs first into the fog light
2. find a place to position the ballast
3. secure and mount the ballast
4. connect those weird wires (black/red wires) to the OEM foglight harness
5. turn on foglights for testing.
6. then go find ed_423 and show it off to him on a man-date.
that's it!

um i'm pretty sure the fog and lows have different bulb sizes because if i remember correctly the lows are h11 and have an L shape to them so you might have a problem there. and for mounting... i just threw the ballast in there and let it settle wherever it wanted lol. and lastly, if you don't find out where those things go I can take a picture of mine later today.

OK! so these are the pictures i took during and after. i placed the right ballast above the spot where the resonator used to be. and the left ballast is taped (double sided) and zip tied a little under the small white liquid container.
i used 6000k and for some reason they're coming out green-ish in the pictures. but they are actually whiter than my projectors when up against my garage.
lol i post this because about that time i said "hmm i wonder if mom or dad might notice haha!
Wiring. ill post pics of ballast next week when i take the bumper off again.
I dont kno why but it looks super green when its really whiter than the projectors. so you can kinda imagine.
i will post better pictures later.

whoa they DO look kinda green, but good job man that white container is coolant i believe? im only like 10% sure, my friend with a little more knowledge about engine taught me what all the fluids are and where they are located, but its been a while someone sheds some light on me (or us)

I honestly don't know where my ballast are lol. I followed the manual to install my fogs which doesn't require taking apart the bumper and i just tossed the ballast in the tiny hole. But I can stick my phone in the hole and take a picture and hopefully we can see where they're at lol

Whit container is either the coolant or the windshield wiper fluid LOL. I just double side taped that shit (the ballast) to the inside part of my bumper, right next to the foglight. LOL.

i took off my bumper today to plastidip my grill, looks like pure sex. i took pictures of the wiring and where i placed my ballast, they'll be up late tonight or tomorrow. my vortex blue now has White led dome/map lights, led license plate lights, blue door courtesy lights, 6000k HID fogs, a resonator delete, and plastidipped grill. probably monday i'll plastidip the back emblems. pictures soon =)

I installed 6k hids 3 months ago. i got them from kensun. im not having any trouble with them at all, but the install sucked.
they cheaped out on the connector wires. the bulbs fit right, but the wiring sucked. it came with a wire pair which were basically pins that i had to stick into the contacts of the stock harness. ended up taping the heck out of it. those wires then connected into the ballast which connected to the bulb.
anyone else have to do the same?

^ I had to do the exact same thing, I believe most universal HID kits are like this.
My dad actually broke one of the pins when he was looking at what I was doing to my car, so he busted out the engineering knowledge and ghetto-rigged that shit for me LOL

Yes please Killer. I was most interested in finding out where people put the ballasts but a full DIY would be nice too. I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to install HIDs for my fogs though. Later this summer I hope. KG, will you be taking off the bumper to do it or no? I'd prefer not to take off the bumper but if that's not possible then I guess I must...
#31
i can if you want to, i can do it without too, the problem is that there is no way to comfortably and securely mount the ballasts without getting the bumper off, before i took off my bumper my ballasts were just loose

Quick Question: how did those switchbacks work out? did they hyperflash? did u end up using the resistors?
I would apologize but I wouldn't really mean it cuz I really wanted to see the pictures.

Im getting them done at a place ed showed me in Alhambra. im getting them cleared and blacked out for 120 but i might not get it blacked out because i like how kowloon's headlights look so it might be a cheaper price.
