I had my front windshield flashing repaired by my dealer under a recall a few months ago. Ever since then, there's been a musty smell in the car after a rain storm. I could never pinpoint the problem until I replaced the cabin air filter the other day. It was soaking wet. Any ideas how this could have happened?

cabin air filter is below windshield.
if not sealed correctly, new windshield could be letting in rain water

Thanks for the reply... Yes, that's correct. There's a gasket actually on the glass. Then there's also plastic flashing/tray that looks like it has some potential for water to get in as well. Any ideas as to which one?

its your new windshield. if properly sealed, the trays wont get wet!


test it by running water over your new windshield.

I don't think he got a new windshield - I think he just got the side trim bits replaced.
