2009 tsx i4 tech 120k miles gear shifts not buttery smooth

Hello

I just bought this 2009 TSX i4 with 120k miles. When doing the test drive I didn't really notice it then but you know how the more time you spend with a car the more you start to notice

It has been about 2 weeks now. Gear shifts are not as smooth as I would like them to be. They are definitely not as bad as my old Acura and somewhere the same as our 2012 Yaris.

When switching gears I will definitely feel them shift and it'll cause a head Bob.

In lower RPMS and from 1 to maybe 3 gear there will be that mechanical grinding noise coming that is in accordance to the rpm and how much throttle I give. If I let go of the throttle completely then the gear noise will go away since there is no power transfer.

I just did a fresh fluid drain and fill. I made the mistake and miscalculated the amount I needed to fill so I drove it for about 7 miles with only.hacing filled 2.5 qts instead of 3.5. I added an extra 1.2 qts after going home and now fluid level is perfect and pink.

It doesn't feel like the tranny is bad by any means but I was under the impression that for this type of car the gear shifts should be buttery smooth and not even be able to be felt. Temps where I live in Iowa have been consistently below freezing at 0 to 10 average.

There are no clunks or noises coming from the transmission.

Thanks guys

Replace the fluid and see if it helps
