They say 30 is the new 20. Does that mean 3.59 is the new 2.59?

Just kidding man!!! Trying to add some levity to this thread.

i have had every service interval done on my TL (when the car asked). i did the last cabin filter change myself and my engine filter doesn't need changing (CAI). other wear and tear items have also been taken care of as well in a timely fashion. i have had my car since new, only at 56k mi. yes, i love my car.

Not only have I always done all required services, I've even been known to hand wash a rental or loaner. Once, I even detailed a loaner because I wanted to try out a new product. It came out looking better than new.

Wow, ask a simple question and it turns into a shouting match. Well anyways thanks to @ceb for the informative and no-limit response. I agree 100%. In the past i've just paid to get stuff done or worked with a friend. However with a lease (apartment) that states no work can be done on your car excluding minor interior things it makes things kind of tough.

Matt

I follow the maintenance minder and have it serviced by acura dealers in nc and pa. I prefer the pa dealer. Owned my tsx since new-great problem free with 137k+ miles. Yes I also love my car.

Holy shit $150 - 250! A cabin filter change is super simple. I bought a Fram cabin filter from Wally M for < $20 and did this in 10 minutes or less. I haven't done the air filter yet, will order one and it takes 5 minuted to pop off the cover and drop one in.

I just had my 30,000 and it was no where near $400.

For my $15,000, it was under $200. I'm not sure what your dealer is up to. I've brought the TSX wagon in everytime it asked to go, and so far it's been in 3 times. That's it.

In fact, I am at 28,000 and the dealer asked if I wanted to "get the 30,000 out of the way", so I said sure. This has been the least expensive Acura I've ever owned. And I've owned many since 1999.
