'09 sighting around Green Lake in Seattle

I saw someone driving a new gray TSX around Green Lake in Seattle today. Is that anyone here?

On a side note my wife didn't believe it was a new model of car, I had to insist that it was. Also the grill looked better in person, but then again I've become familiar with it and was expecting to see it there. I think it will help Acura to have a bold distinctive grill even if it does violate basic rules of design.

The guy near Green Lake was too far from any Acura dealer to be test driving, and therefore must have plopped down MSRP so I'm surprised he apparently hasn't logged onto the internet to register his appreciation for the TSX. Those TV ads depicting yuppy business flippers must have worked realy well on that particular guy. He looked asianish, late 30's.

Well the 2 locations are Acura of Bellevue and Acura of Seattle. They are not too far away.

If you see a 05 CGP around Greenlake, don't be a stranger wackura, and say hi!

Well judging from the overwhelming disappointment with the '09 TSX on this forum, something tells me that the new TSX isn't going to be purchased by as many enthusiasts as the 1st generation TSX. It seems like the car is mostly being purchased by the demographic that Acura is actually aiming at (yuppie douchebags), for now. So really, I wouldn't be surprised to not have a large number of '09+ TSX owners on here.

If you had a '09 why would you? You're going to get bashed (maybe not directly) and ridiculed for the purchase. I wouldn't be surprised to see a G2 TSX forum sprout up so owners can enjoy their cars in peace. I see Dom is trying to be more moderate, but I suppose time will tell.

Nothing like offending a whole slew of people in one sentence. I guess I'm a yuppie douchebag and had no idea.

I've loved the TSX for years and am finally in the position to get one. I prefer the new TSX which is difficult since I loved the previous gen so much.

Yuppie has a negative connotation and describes young self obsessed people with money to burn on vanity, so by self describing yourself as such you're offending yourself.

Relax, guys. I said MOST, not ALL. If you consider yourself in the most category of yuppie, then your only insulting yourself.

Well since your not a douchebag then you don't meet Acura's demographics. You have to be a yuppie AND a douche bag.

Just kidding of course.

Oh VTEC Racer, please tell me how I can be cool like you. The definition of yuppie is young, urban professional. How is that a bad thing exactly? And while we're at it, it's you're not your. Grow up and go back to school!

You can start by moving out of Reno...

Why are you just looking for a fight? Everyone seems to have understood that I didn't mean to insult anyone by my comment. I made a specific post saying so! I don't need to show you how to be cool because apparently you are doing a great job yourself by correcting peoples punctuation on an internet car-chat forum. I'm not done with school yet, but I'm pretty sure that even where I am at right now, I've probably still gone further than you have. So get over yourself and get a life. Stop trying to disrupt what was a civil discussion, you yuppie douche-bag.

I'm not so clique-y ... frankly, I think someone getting an '09 TSX is getting about as fun and enjoyable and reliable a car as I got, I wouldn't look down my nose. Maybe I'm a yuppie douchebag,[1] or maybe ... just maybe ... I don't like labels.

[1]Oops, I'm not "young" by this board's standards. So I'm an Uppie. Viva Viagra, amigos. Though I still carry my 1970s Trekkie credentials.

Acura is targeting yuppies, but not all '09 buyers are infact yuppies.

THANK YOU!!

Some people just want a small-ish sedan with lots of features that gets decent gas mileage. What is so wrong with that?!

Acura hasn't changed the formula much, if at all, from the 1G, so in reality, much of the same can be said for the 04-08 TSX, and we know that not all 04-08 buyers are "yuppies."

I wonder what the female to male ratio is on this car. I know it's hard to decide since it just came out but just on looks. What do you think?

Probably a few more male buyers than before because new the new TSX looks more aggressive, but for the most part it looks the same as the last model.

Does anybody else see a little irony here? By asking who else is buying the car (ie male or female, young or old), are you possibly (just possibly) confirming that you might (stress 'might') be the same superficial yuppie that you are trying not to be?
