$309 special lease negotiable? and toddler car seat question
I'm thinking of leasing a new base TSX and am curious if anyone else that has done so with the new lease special has negotiated a better payment? It is a bit unclear from the small type if the deal is based on MSRP, which would lead me to believe you could get a lower payment, or if there is already a dealer contribution required.
$2,675 in cap cost reduction is mentioned, but the lease appears to be based on a selling price of $26,138, which is $3,562 below MSRP. The difference between $3562 (what is required) and $2675 (cap cost) + $309 (first payment) is about $600. Is that $600 the dealer contribution?
Secondly - we have 1-year-old twins, so obviously have a need for two forward-facing car seats in the back. Wife has a minivan but the girls would still ride with me at least once per day. I'm 6'5" so generally have to have my seat most of the way back to be comfortable. Anyone have a forward-facing car seat behind the driver seat that can tell me if there is enough room?
Thanks - and happy Thanksgiving!

I have no idea on either but would like to know the answer to the car seat question. My wife and I are expecting our first baby in 5 weeks. The seat will go behind the passenger seat but I'm still curious how much room is available. I've already got my '09 TSX though.

I have put a few different car seats into my 09. It's not too bad for forward-facing seats. The seats fit well and there is still enough room to drop the center armrest down between the seats. Then again, I'm not anywhere close to 6-5. My kids are 5 and 2.5, so I'm starting to get into boosters for the older one, that is much better.
To Derwoodee: Rear-facing is a f'n joke in any car except a minivan or a big old Town Car. Those seats are so cumbersome and difficult to operate through the typical triangular door opening.
Not to discourage you, but the back seat in this car is not real generous, especially given your height. The rear doors openings are also kind of small for placing/buckling kids.
This car is not my primary kid-hauler, and I was aware of it limitations going into the deal.

Thanks for the info. My wife's car is going to be primarily used when the entire family has to go somewhere (wow, I'm actually going to have a 'family' soon...weird). She's got an '08 Ford Escape which isn't a huge SUV by any means, but has considerably more room than my TSX does.
