went to the strip yesterday. going again Saturday
went to the track on Sunday. my first time and I'm going back Saturday! had a blast and came 4th in the all motor street class. came behind a two z's that were running consistent 14.4-6 but managed to get down the line quicker in the head to head rounds.
my fastest time was a 14.249 @100.1 mph. my 60' was 2.3 because of my bald potenzas and bad front mount.
got some used nitto nt555 and used bfg g-force t/a kdw. any suggestions as to which is the better tire?
I'll probably end up gutting my car next time.
here's the vid of the run.

Awesome. Some good traction and you can get lower. the 555s are good tires. My buddy uses them on his 400hp at the wheels mustang. Once warm he can stand on it with little to no spin.

get the mount fixed-
it makes a differance in how the axles react to torque,, when everything is held to its designed geometry

I have more footage but it's of other cars. my girl was with me but she was in the car for the other runs. I have an import face off this Saturday and I'm trying to get some better times. I'll have the kdw's on the front of my car and the nittos in the back.
everything I've read tells me the kdw's are grippier. the g35 guys hate the nittos. but I'll swap em out and report back.
these aren't the n555 they are the nT555

The BFG are grippier but probably going to be NOISY. My buddy had them and the road noise after 10k miles was unbearable
What PSI were you running?

I wish there was a easy way with something like a Emanage to remove the revlimiter for stuff like this. (just be smart to not over rev it) that way you wont lose time with the limiter, especially 3rd, that one is like throwing a anchor out.

well ended up only getting two runs in at silver dollar. 14.4 and the. I broke my axle on the second. (the launch was perfect)
my team and I replaced the axle but I missed the entire qualifying round and could only get a test and tune run. put down a 14.3@99 with a 2.31 60'.
the bfg's are way sticky tires. I had to leave the hole real soft at the end because I didn't want wheel hop.
new season is in spring and I'll either have the j&r 2nd gen turbo or a 100 shot depending on my sponsorships.
wish me luck peeps.
ps: I'll work on getting some endlink bushings made
