VSA & Check Engine on - how can recent brake work cause these

VSA & Check Engine on - how can recent brake work cause these

2003 TLS

Long story short - Installed new brembo rotors/pads all around and 2 new calipers in the rear 3 months ago. Everything was good for about a month than started getting vibrations in the brake pedal and steering wheel only when braking at both low and high speeds. 5 days ago, I replaced both front calipers, cleaned pads (which look great, even wear ect) and the shaking still continues. Only thing left is rotors right, even though they're new? The vibrations only happen when I brake and I had my tires balanced recently as well an alignment. No pulling to either side when coasting.

I plan on replacing the rotors this weekend but should I check for anything else while the wheels are off?

Today, I accelerated rather fast and got wheels to which my check engine light and vsa remained on even after restarting the car. No transmission slipping and the car drives fine but I have noticed a slight loss of power when turning the car on and the vehicle appears to struggle but then gains full strength. I've changed all my coils and plugs within the last year which is why I ask how brake work can cause these warning lights. Lastly, earlier in the day today I did hear a belt make a very loud squealing nose that I've never heard before however it quickly went away and I chalked it up to rain since it was drizzling out. I plan on getting the codes read tomorrow.

Pull the check engine codes to pinpoint the cause...
That vibration can be caused by the ABS Modulator which in turn can disengage VSA (Since VSA requires the ABS Modulator).

If you damaged the wheel abs sensor then I believe it could trip the vsa. I would check those.

codes are -p 1399, p0305 p 0306 p 0300 it also says this which i have no idea what it means 25-01 64-01 83-1


So does this mean coil on cylinder 5 or 6 is bad?

Yeah usually miss fires point to a faulty coil plug.. It is very strange that more than 1 coil plug goes bad though so you might wanna do the Coil Plug diagnosis.
The other code is for ABS you require a Honda ABS compatible reader to scan those codes. As chojun suggested it might involve a bad ABS Speed Sensor.

Also with the VSA you have that 2nd throttle so I'd check and make sure it's operating properly. It should always be at fully wide-open except when the car thinks you're trying to spin out. Maybe it's dirty and stuck partially closed?

You can check all codes including ABS by jumping pins 4 & 9 on the OBDII port and turning ignition on. The service manual has details on how to read each code on the dash.
