Very Low Rpms... then stall!!!

When I start my car (cold mornings) it sounds very wierd for the first minute. When I step on the gas my CA-intake makes a very wierd hissing sound (ie. A low pitch tone of a ballon being inflated by a Co2 tank). People have told me this is normal for the car to do this with a CAI... but it sounds so loud that neighbors have asked me WHAT DA HELL IS IN MAH CAR!!#@!!!##!

This is what worries me even more...

Lets just say im at a light and my car is still cold...
My TL's rpms will start to drop almost to zero and then jump up to 1000 and then back down alternating back and forth. I can hear and feel the car as the rpms go up and down. In some cases my car will STALL and the engine will shut off...

Plz tell me this is because of my INTAKE...
Anyone else have this problem...
Plz HELP...

:wow:

More than likely your idle speed control valve is either faulty or clogged. If you car is still under warranty, bring it in. If not, you can probably take it apart and clean it out with some carb cleaner.

it shouldn't be the battery or the alternater bcuz if it due to the battery or alternater then u can tell if ur dash board lites or the head light will became dimmer and dimmer and eventually ur car will die. my guess is that when you install CAI you might demage the maf senser or the electronic chocke...check it out

Yeah i had the same problem. I took it in to the dealer and they basically told me to bring it in when it does it and other than that they can't do anything. If you find out what it is please let me know. Thanks
