well the tranny itself is acura's problem....and plus, in the manual it says to change tranny fluid every 120k.....so it's not really important. the last person who messed with it would be the dealership....but it's always nice to know why.

I was under the impression to change the tranny fluid every 30k regardless the vehicle type

correct me if im wrong.. I thought the tranny fluid should always remain reddish with a little bit of brown...if it turns to the same color of motor oil, then there is a problem...

yes the oil jet DOES NOT cause the failures. your tranny if it goes has been on its way out long before the oil jet kit. the oil jet kit DOES NOT fix the problem of it failing that 99.9% of us have had. it does keep the 2nd gear shaft from overheating and breaking (which is a completly different problem) by not getting it you would possibly be voiding the warranty offered by them by not getting it. ive had 3 failures and none of them have had teh oil jet kit. I also just finished rebuilding my "SPARE" tranny and the problems arent related to the oiljetkit.

The Acura tech said they would of noticed if the fluid was bad when they did the jet kit 2 months and 1200 miles ago .. it was pink and changed color that quick. I just got it back from having the brakes fixed on recall

your comptech headers will not void the warrenty on the car. most dealers recognize headers and an intake as pretty standard these days and wont give you a hard time, if they do they are just being dicks and you shouldnt be doing business with them to being with...

either way get the oil jet installed, might as well since they are providing it, and if anything goes wrong you will have your warrenty so its nothing something to worry about too much
