Transmission died on my 02 tl type s, can i use this trans?

I tried searching, and i couldnt find specific enough information this.

I found a 07 accord 3.0 v6 coupe transmission w/ torque converter.

Is this all I need? so basically swap the bell housing and all the sensors, and it should be direct bolt in correct?

are the accord v6 coupe and 4 door transmissions different? please let me know asap I need to get this thing ordered.

thanks in advance

that was a waste of a post...

can anyone link me to any specific swap threads, ive seen them before, but for the life of me I cannot find it.

More importantly, I need to know if the coupe and 4door transmissions are different. I'm having a shop i trust swap it out for 1200 labor, i found a trans for 1300 w/ 45k on it. i think thats a decent deal

That tranny should work. The best place to call if youre having trouble searching here would be a honda dealer. As for the 4dr/2dr question. Of coarse they arent different. Are the motors different? nope.

Yes it will work I did the same thing on my car. All you will have to do is swap the range switch, entire cooler/warmer filter assembly, and third and fourth gear pressure switches. The 2 door and 4 door had the same transmission.

You don't touch the bell housing.

I would replace transmission mounts, third Nd fourth gear pressure switches, and the spin on filter on top. That's what I did. I have mounts and a filter that I didn't use because they didn't get here in time. Send me a pm if you need them.

Here is a link https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...t=accord+trans

I am right in the middle of my swap also. Took the old trans out today and have a '07 accord transmission arriving tomorrow to go back in. If you need any advice taking out the transmission its fresh in my mind right now lol.

Also the service manual helps out a lot. Here is a relink for it

LOL i cant stop laughing at how both of you two are idiots. Waste of a post and answer? LOL you guys clearly cant search for something so simple so you make a whole new thread when theres already plenty. Talk about waste of the forum space making a new thread.

There's a spin on filter that connects to te oil cooler filter assembly rift under the air intake box. You can use the the third and fourth gear pressure switches from either one.

The entire trans oil heater assy, including the plate under the heater/cooler itself, and all of the brackets *don't forget a new gasket for the plate and anew trans filter* If the old trans has an oiljet kit installed, you will have to cut the t's out of it and fasten a new hose to both ends of the intermediate line.
this is a quote from another thread, does anyone know what part number this gasket is?

My gasket did not need replacing. It was plastic so I will just reuse it. The pressure switches are easy to replace on the car so I would use what you have replace only if needed.

^ mine needs to be replaced with 193,000 miles on the car and 90,000 miles on the second transmission that died. When I took it off the car it broke apart into prices.

Here's te part number for you. No point in taking a chance for a gasket that's less than two dollars.

You could probably use the ones that come with te new transmission. The only reason I replaced them was because one was damaged and I did it as preventative maintenance
