Took to dealer for Airbag Recall now all cylinders misfiring!

Need help with this one. One day following the airbag recall, the engine light turns on, and I pulled codes from an Auto Zone and get all cylinders misfiring and random misfires. Could this have been caused from any electrical short? We returned the TL back to the dealer and he told me that it wasn't anything they did, and they don't lift the hood to disconnect the battery, they just disconnect the airbag plug. This seems pretty fishy to me and too damn coincidental to just be a suddenly failed coil or EGR port suddenly blocked. Has anyone else had similar issue when replacing the airbag? The only other item wrong is the car's radio security code is not entered and the radio won't play.

If the radio's code hasn't been put in, that means that the radio definitely lost power there - sure seems like they opened the hood and disconnected the battery.

Sounds like the battery had to have been unplugged or they pulled the ECU fuse. I doubt they would be working on an airbag and not disconnecting the battery..

I kept ignoring the recall letters AND the phone calls so...the guy came to my house to replace my airbag. they definitely need to disconnect the battery. it's right there in the service manual AND...I had to hold the hood up while he loosened the ground wire. :pofl:
