Tire sizing advice

While searching for a full size spare, I found a set of 2nd Gen TL-S alloys for a heck of a price that could not be passed up, the only issue is that they came off of a civic with a 5 lug conversion with 204/40/17.
The tire are BRAND NEW!!! Would anyone run these on there TL? What is width difference between 205 and 215? Thanks in advance for your time.

Maybe but 40 isn't, you should be running 50's.....they're going to look strange. 215/50/17 IMO

different years had different rims and tire width 215 may have been stock for you

40 is a very common sidewall profile (number = percentage of sidewall height to tread width)
I run 225-40-18s on the 01,,looks low and mean on Teins

Spring or coilovers? Can you post a pic...I may be open to it in the future. I don't think I'm low enough to rock 40's

You will be throwing your speedo off by quite a bit.

I just realized 01tl4tl runs 18's, the OP has 40's on 17's which will leave an unpleasant gap unless he's slammed as hell. I wouldn't go any lower than 45's on a TL 17 and thats if they were 225s
