Timing belt tensioner issues

Hi I have a 2002 Acura TL type s and have been having an issue with the timing belt tensioner, it failed when I got the car and I then replaced it and it failed again within 2 weeks, trying to find out if the idler wheel could be bad causin it to fail or the other tensioner, was hoping to get other people’s opinions before I go throwing money at it

The timing belt tensioner failed, twice, and you didn't bend any valves? Sounds odd.

Why is there normally something wrong with the valves if the tensioner goes?

Yes, if the tensioner goes then the belt will jump teeth and you will bend valves.

well basically the tensioner does not completely fail it just starts making a horrible noise around 1k to 2k rpm and when I pulled the front cover off it was coming from belt vibration so I changed the tensioner and it stopped that belt vibration for a couple weeks and now it is back, I assumed it was the tensioner failing

I ordered another belt tensioner so I am going to install it and see if it will last longer and hopefully it completely stops the noise
