To those who may have purchased 2.11 NAVI DVD

I just purchased a 2002 TL and it has the 2.0.4 version of the NAVI and my street is not on the map.

I am interested in your old DVD as I understand the 2.0.5 versions have an updated map.

If you are no longer using your 2.0.5b version and want to get rid of it, e-mail me at jedblanks@hotmail.com

2.05 had very few changes over 2.04. I would check with someone who has 2.05 first and make sure your street is on it. Unless you live in one of the few areas that were updated (I think there were two or three from 2.04 to 2.05), it probably won't be worth the upgrade.

I wouldn't advise doing so. I if you have a hard driv there is a possibility it could fail. Besides you cannot burn data from a harddrive unit on to a DVD and expect it to work... I Think?!... I don't think they have the same format...

If you have a harddrive spen 155.00 and get a compact flash card...

Thanks for the input, but I think you are mistaken.

Here is an e-mail I got from him:
Hello Jed, no I have no way to get it any cheaper. I bought mine through the Acura/alpine web site. Also there is a dealer listing them on eBay for $190... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...item=247783367

It is possible and easy to copy the prior DVD releases up to 2.05B the previous latest version. To get all the extra data though in the new 2.11c release you would need a dual layer DVD burner which are just now becoming available.

The new version is worth buying.

Have fun.
