SRS and Seat Removal

Hey Guys,

I need to get my front seats out to do repairs on broken heating elements in both of them. I remember hearing that there are special considerations for the SRS system when disconnecting/removing the seats. Does anyone know what they are or can point me to them? Thanks!

Disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait three minutes. Now you can safely disconnect/connect the seat SRS connectors. You will have to enter the radio and navi codes after you reconnect the battery.

I must be living on the edge, I never did anything special besides disconnect/reconnect. If I was messing with disassembling the steering wheel or SRS impact sensors, hell yeah I'd disconnect the battery
