speedometer needle not moving smoothly
As per Title my speedometer needle is sticking and jumps between 0 than 20 than about 41 than gets stuck until I stop.
When I stop it goes back down to zero.
I am familiar with removing the cluster assembly but never actually went inside the clear piece.
Can someone tell me if I can fix this myself and how?
You guys are the best!

well if you dont have indaglo gauges for it to be sticking on there isnt much we can help you with. something is going. like PA stated, either it's the actual speedometer mechanism, or a bad wheel speed sensor.

I had a problem with my Accord before. It's the speed sensor dying already. In a few days or weeks, the speedometer, mileage reading, and cruise control will not function anymore. The rpm gauge will still function though. Have it check.

Hey guys thanks but Maybe if I give you more detail you may be able to help me.
I had to remove the guage cluster to remove the bulb for the maint required light and the seat belt warning light. I just had to.
Once I removed it and reinstalled it, it started this. also I got this particular gauge cluster from someone eles on this site and he made it so all the numbers on the speedometer and the rpm and the fuel and temp guages are red. I been using it for a while with no problems.
He used very thin clear plastic wrap type stuff. Maybe the needle loosened up on me.
