put that thing in a plastic `marine battery box` for safety- protect the terminals and batt from damage
in the meantime use rubber terminal covers on the Pos cable at least-

the battery relocation kit i bought came with a battery box, but it was too big to fit in that crevice where the CD changer was. i'll figure something out
crazy how much engine bay space this freed up though
got my downpipe welded today so i'm getting that much further along

Make sure you get something! I'm an Optima fan, but those two little basted sealed holes on the top can leak - If overcharged or some anomalie happens the gel will turn to a liquid acid!

assclown, how long did it take to get that sausage of a wire to the back? or was it just stick her underneath 1-2?
BTW do you know what type of Optima you used?
I had to measure the old battery as Optima "didn't have one" for my car... Ended up getting a 800 amp monster...
