Hello,

Does anyone know the storage shelf life of Honda fluids.
ie. Honda brake fluid, power steering fluid, or Type 2 antifreeze.

Is it 24 months, 36 months, or ???
This would be for storage at 70 - 92 degrees F.

Shelf life for honda motor oil is around 5 years. I would think it would be the same for power steering fluid, brake fluid etc.

Brake fluid once opened doesnt have a long shelf life.

If brake fluid does not get opened. Does that mean it would be good for 5 (five) years.
How about power steering fluid.

if the foil seal is intact and no air can get in- there is nothing to damage the fluid
especially the oils which suck moisture from the air!

are you trying to use old product- does it have a date made on it?

or planning for some storage room in the bomb shelter
in case the TL survives the hurricane-tornado-earthquake-insert favorite disaster here

I have not opened the containers, or broken any foils seals.
However, the brake fluid and steering fluid is about 27 months old.
I do not see a date code.

I would use it in my own car and not be worried at all
