I did a search and apparently we can purchase a service manual through Helms. Unfortunately they are out of stock and the lady I talked to didn't have any idea when a shipment would come in.

Does anyone know of any other websites which carry the service manual for the 2001/2002 TLs?

I believe Helms is the only place to get them. They usually aren't out of stock for very long though...

Helm is the only place you can purchase the manual. You'll need the 99-01 Manual, and the 02 supplement. I believe the price for both books is around $100. They continually replenish stock, so they should have something available for you very soon.

Will the dealer not sell an "official" Acura service manual?

From what I understand, the Helm manual is the "official" service manual for the Acura. I bought one years ago for my Legend and that was the case then.

The Helm manuals are absolutely awesome. Best money you can spend if you work on the car yourself.

The 2002 book is an add on to the 99-01 book? I have the 99-01 book and was planning on getting the 02 so I could do some modifications. So the 02 book is not complete without the 99-01 Helm?

The car is basically unchanged since 1999, so the 99-01 manual is the core book used for repairs. The '02 is a supplement that covers the changes for '02, such as "smart" SRS and the Type-S.
