Rust Proofing: To Drill or not to Drill ?
Hello everybody...since old man winter is fast approaching, I was wondering if any folks who fall in the snow belt (as we do here in TO Canada) have had their TL's rustproofed.
I looked at a couple Ziebart, Krown, Cobra and they all provide some sort of warranty, BUT they all say in order to do it right THEY DRILL HOLES into the car. Also all of them have some initial application (usually expensive) and then a moderate annual application. The so called "touch up" application.
The only place that does not DRILL any holes is surprisingly the dealers who apparently charge a hefty sum (almost double the others) for the so called "do it once and forget it" application. IMO, I just don't believe that you can rust proof a car with just 1 application and not expect it to rust.
Just wondering if my fellow TL'ers have any ideas/opnions.
Thanks to all who reply.

dont waste your money.
my toyota was rust proofed on delivery. im getting rust almost 7 years later
wax twice a year (before winter, before summer), wipe down doors and sills after washing, pressure wash rust zones during the winter...youll be just fine
my tl was rustproofed by the dealer for free. if they asked for $1, i wouldnt have done it

It's a a ploy to get your $$$, don't get it...obviously it's a new car and u don't need to waste your $$$...don't worry it won't rust. Haven't had any problems with my car...even my 91 Legend which never had rust proofing haven't had any of that problem...they just want to take your hard earned dollars..
