I have warped rotors on the front of my 03 TL-S and I'm wondering what to replace them with. Do drilled and slotted rotors remain true better than the regular rotors? Anybody have any experience with this?

It depends... Usually Slotted/Drilled rotors are made with a Higher Grade Steel and it take them much much Heat to Warp.

But there are Cheapo Grade Slott/Drilled Rotors that warp even easier than OEM.

Ill Recommend EBC just becouse I could not get them to Warp even with them getting as Hot as being almost complete Black.

They are made to dispense heat more efficiently, but they will still warp if you do not take care of them properly. Just bed in the pads, and you shouldn't have too much worries.

How do I take care of the rotors properly and what do you mean by "bed in" the pads?

Perhaps he means stuff like not going into a Carwash after lot of continuous driving and such for the rotors.

"Bed in" is to make the Pads flat to match the rotor surface.. Usually means not stomping on the brakes hard or emergency brakes during the first 250 miles of installing them = Driving Slow and be Gentle on Brakes < If you follow this, Pads will work better and last long.

The thing that warps rotors the most is when the the wheels are put on with an impact gun and not torqued properly. I have never had a set of rotors warp, and that includes going thru car washes while hot, track days etc... Also Try to NEVER brake hard or do repeated stops to bed in NEW rotors. Season them for a few hundred miles FIRST. Then bed the pads to the rotors with a few fast hard stops (just before the abs threshold).

Not becouse they will Warp Fatty but becouse they can Crack...
I on the other way, never had a Rotor Warp for installing the Wheels with an Impact Gun.

Never had them crack either from that. The average person doesnt need drilled or slotted rotors as they never drive hard enough to actually utilize them.

Yeah, they certainly do look better .....but always be sure to get a better quality brand, otherwise the drilling can compromise the durability, IMO. Depends on your budget and driving style, get the best that ya can afford !

^^ i can vouch that brake motive rotors make a bit of noise the first week they're installed...atleast mine did
