Road Trip Gas Mileage

Road Trip Gas Mileage
Just got back from a week's vacation road-tripping from NJ up to Canada, and I have to say the TL is one sweet car to cruise the highways in. I kept real close watch on the mileage, and calculated mileage in excess of 36 miles/gallon which is pretty darn amazing, compared to the usual 24mpg I get around town. I spent most of the drive on cruise control going 65 mph.
Now gotta get back to the grind...

Im new here...been meaning to post. Purchased Laguna TL on 0/3/28. You must have followed me to Canada. Went from MD to Quebec and return (stops in Mass). As you can probably tell from name I used SS 90% of time. Running at 70 w/AC on most of the time still averaged 31.2 on entire trip. Very pleased to say the least. No problems, no oil used... a real pleasure. At my age even looking out for toyota echos to pick off.Hope this is the fist of many posts....really like the car

Where did you go in Canada? I took my wife to Niagara Falls this past new year. But I took a rental because I have too many miles on my TL. Damn did I ever regret not taking my TL. The POS Malibu was giving me a headache.
BTW, the TL is one great highway cruiser. I took my TL down to Florida two years ago and the ride was so relaxing. On a full tank, I got close to 400 miles.

On a particular road trip where I kept the miles on a steady 70mph throughout, I obtained 36mpg, which is truly Honda Civic territory..
