RL 4-Pot Caliper from "Centric" fits the 2G TL??

Searching trough ebay I found this little fella:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Centric-Fron...1017#vi-ilComp

Funny thing is that the Listing says it Fits the 2G TL and the Accord 6th Gen and like 41 cars! Can this be an Error by the Seller?

The price seems dead On since its not the Original Brembo Unit but it Has some Wierd Solid Bracket kinda like our TLs have?

Price is 113 shipping is Free!

What do you Say?

I wanna see you try and bolt that--- straight up ---to a gen2 TL

there is a mod to do it--with different rotors iirc and probably some other parts
Gen2 didnt get the brembo,,thats a gen3 item

cheapest upgrade for us is a 2 piston caliper for 95 legend ls-c

I know it does not bolt straight up because I was considering rl calipers as well. A couple of people on here with cls have them but they had to come up with a custom bracket to make it work. There was one guy that had it on his in my area (jacksonville, FL) but I have never seen him yet and besides now he is selling his car. it to much work for a daily driver at least for me, but Skirmich already has the legend two piston calipers

Hi! Not at all "totaledTL" I was just wondering why would they list those particullar calipers as Compatible with our 2Gs and That bracket gave me some crazy ideas haha.

Anyway getting two of those (226 bucks New!) over the insanelly 300 bucks Piece Original "Remanufactured" RL Brembo Caliper isnt that bad if down the road we Only need a Custom bracket that a machine shop can fabricate, Going a Custom BBK would cost less than tops 400 bucks (Depending on Custom Bracket Price). -Minus new 12.7inch rotors...

Hell even a Scratched USED! TL Brembo Caliper will run you 230 bucks
http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-07-Acura-...item1c23d7c8ba
That is Insane!

Two in Good Shape?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-07-Acura-...item1c23d7c8ba
Talk About some 650 bucks (USED!!) Thank god he gives Free Shipping...

Hahaha I was just sayin, I dont need an Upgrade but that would be a Good Project!

for noobs referance- the 1995 legend LS-C calipers are the hot mod for us
To get the most from our brake system, install SS = `stainless steel` braided/wrapped lines, and whatever your choice of top of the line rotors and matched pads

my RB setup results in some serious ablity to slow the car from any speed-- in far shorter distance that you have any reason to expect --based on its stock system,,
meaning the newfound abilty to stop will blow your mind

But that guy Still required a Custom Bracket to make it Fit "tl_badboy96" even when the guy that did the same mod for his 3G mentioned the Bracket he didnt say it was Bolt-On how come I would only need the Knukles then?

If I get a chance I will b posting some picz of the setup. Basically I found the whole setup from a local junkyard. It had the brembo calipers and 17in rotors install on it. It was an 04 tl 6speed. this setup didnot have the custom bracket. I will have picz later. For the experience mechanic please chime in. I got this setup really cheap.

I just think that 4 pistons calipers is over doing it. Our stock brake system was engineer to work property with a stock engine. Unless the car is producing 60whp over stock, upgrading the brake system is a bit useless to me. The Legend calipers with performance pads are more than enough.

Hey wassup for everybody. Just to touch on what the other guy said. I got my 4pot calipers really cheap, ie 25 bucks a piece vor the calipers setups. pads still had roughly 85% of life on the pads and I picked up the steering knuckles whole setup with sensors and everything attached for 75 bucks a piece, not to mention the 17in rotors had 90% life left. I however would not of attempt to purchase this piece for piece. Very expensive. But if u have the money the 04tl manual does have the brembo setup. I have the setup and will take pics soon.

Do you have a side by side comparison? Are they the exact same length? How about where the hub sits? Is that further in or out?

going into the ball joint holes doesnt mean anything. As far as dimensions, where do they sit compared to the stock ones? Are the hubs in the same spot?

I think what "fsttyms1" means is that if the HUB sits at the same lenght of the OEM? So the Axle doesnt have an extra GAP?

Kinda looks like the upper balljoint hole is at a different angle? Are the arms for the steering the same length?

its not about it being a straight answer. Its about if the knuckles have the hub in the same spot. If they arent you may run into issues.

Here is a side shot of the two hubs. The primed one is the 04 hub. Eyeballing it, itlooks the same. Just the 04 is beefier.

17inch? Thats the wheel Size.

TL-S 3G (Brembo) uses 12.7 Inch Rotors while
TL-S/P 2G/3G (Non-Brembo) uses 11 and sum Inch Rotors.

So yeah pretty much you need TL-S Blanks...

Errr Not quite, The Knukle for the 3G TL-S have different Bolt Positions for the Brembo Caliper... You need to read the whole thing.

He exchanged his Knukles for a 3G TL-S Ones without it, theres no way to fit the calipers into our OEM Knukles without a Custom Bracket.

i posted as much pic as i could without having the capabilities to install right now. i hope they were sufficient enough. i was also lucky enough to have a junkyard that just picked up a 3g tl 6speed. check your local junkyards and car-parts.com. there is alot of experience guys chiming in on this. hopefully i can get mine rolling. but keep in mind this mod is not cheap.

Quick Reply: RL 4-Pot Caliper from "Centric" fits the 2G TL??
