resistance in shifter

Have '03 with 95K original trans., one owner, runs well. Only noticed over past couple of mos that when changing into any gears it is not real smooth but feels like a little resistance. Never gets stuck and trans seems to work well. Does linkage need lubrication?

put the car on ramps and inspect the shift linkage
a trans shop should look at it for free,,maybe even fix!
