you can turn the key first and then hold the 2 button, if you do it right, you can adjust your outside temp guage.

I played around with it and it finally worked.

Turn the ignition key to position 3 (RUN but not started), Then push in the trip odometer button and then the Select button. Hold both buttons in till you hear a segmented 'beep' (about 5 seconds) and see the temp guage displaying "3, 2, 1, 0, -1, -2, -3". This is how far lower or higher the correct temp should be from the current temp the car displays. When it gets to your number just let the buttons go.

VIOLA!!

Now if I could just convince the outside weather to be 75 when it's really 25..........
