Radiator hose blew!!

What's up acuazine . So I my 99 TL hit 200k yesterday still had a few parts that needed to be put on from a previous problem (such as my temp gauge not working ) so I flushed my coolant and changed my thermostat and coolant temp sensor then filled the radiator back up and let it run for about 30mins or so then test drive it.

Previous to this being done the car drove fine and ran even better after but after the test drive I noticed the upper radiator hose was a bit swollen and the fans were on (before the coolant being flushed and changed then never came on ) so today is here I drove to work and I'm pulling off from the light and I big pop and white smoke the radiator hose blew and it's almost as if the car has this ringing noise to it

I replaced the hose and refilled the coolant and the motor still has the same ringing noise and white smoke from the crankcase when the oil cap is off anyone have an idea on what happened cause I'm mindblown on what happened and don't know where to start Im thinking there was still some air In the system but the nosie and white smoke tht has me nervous any help is appreciated

Did you check to see if if the oil is milky? Maybe its back pressure from the head.

Sounds like you might of fry your motor... Blown head gasket probably.

Seems like you didn't burp your cooling system enough and overheated. Since your temp gauge is inop, you had know way to tell if you car was running hot. Although a swollen radiator hose is a good indication of too much pressure in the cooling system.

The fact that your car is running crappy is not a good sign. For what it's worth, I really hope that I'm wrong.

yeah that's what I'm fearing and it's not so much Running crappy it's just making this noise tht it wasn't making before. Almost sound like rattling change in the cupholder if there was any and then the white smoke coming out of the crankcase

Yes if you blew the head Gasket, if the oil and antifreeze is mixing the car will run bad and blow white smoke. Like ACLS siad it's not not a good sign

First mistake was driving the car without fixing the temp gauge. Now that you most likely blew a hg which I think happened you need to look at getting another engine to swap in or taking the heads off and seeing if they are worth milling.

yeah as I said before tht was my first fear was the head gasket blowing but I already had my eye on a motor out of an 07accord with the 5speed Trans but when the sun's up I'll drain. The oil and get a closer look at things and post pics of the damage.

The J35Z2 fits the TL? I thought the Automatic Engine had VCM.

06 my mistake and 3.0 v6 5speed don't really see why it wouldn't fit I'm getting the entire swap for a reasonable price if you or anyone else can point me in a better direction I'm open to all options

Get the J35A3 instead from the MDX (Fully bolt on)... The 3.0 from the Accord is simply too weak, even weaker than the Base 3.2TL.
The J35A5 can also bolt to the trans but the "Headers on Head" will not bolt on to your current exhaust, If you are not afraid of going custom that engine is a BEAST.

The J35A3 is fully bolt on, there is no mod needed.
The J35A5 has no Headers so your exhaust will not bolt on.

Both will fit your current trans and the AV6 as well..

Does it matter that this is a '99 with the 4 speed?
