Radiator Fan
So i figured id post this i laughed about it when i saw it and more than a little confused. Was driving home last night from work and noticed the engine temp was slightly higher than usual so popped the hood at a gas station figuring something sprung a leak and it needed coolant (somethung chewed through an abs wheel sensor recently so im a little paranoid now) but I found this instead. Anybody want to take a shot on what caused the failure. I mean as far as i can find in paperwork its original. The first owner kept every record from the dealerships and mechanics he took it too. Got a new one on the way. Im just hoping to avoid the next one doing that again if its not a freak failure.

Yeah it all melted and then cooled down and got stuck together like that. And thats what im hoping. Also my laptop is down screen cracked so I dont have access to the manual so i cant look at the diagrams but if that fan is out of the loop will it stop the fan on the right from operating. Does it need both to close the system and work properly because the other fan won't turn on even when i hit the ac. Or should i be looking at fuses and relays to find what it screwed up when the fan burned out.

Probably the motor bearing just seized with time and the motor burned up.. Which is weird since you would think that is what fuses are for right?...

so swapped out the fan today. It did fry the fuse for the cooling fan so replaced that as well but all good besides that. Now back to my other planned work for the car lol.

Interesting how the fuse fried yet it still commuted seppuku...
