Question for long term/experienced plastidip users.
First off I just want to thank everyone on here for their tips and advice thus far. That being said I hope this thread don't piss anyone off that it's not acura specific but I just want t o clarify that I am a very proud acura tl 2003 owner and I love this car!
My question is... What is the best cleaner to use on plastidip? (besides break dust pro) I'mlooking for something I can buy locally. something to bring back it's original luster. And in addition what is the best tire shine to use that won't ruin the dip if there was Accidental contact.

You can wash the car with any car soap. I havent had meguiars hurt the plastidip on my wheels that have been dipped for 2+ years now.

thanks! i hear good things about the meguires stuff and plastidip from what ive been reading. ever try their back to black on it? i saw a couple people online said they used it but fail to ever say how it turned out.
so far what ive learned is that BDP (brake dust pro) is the best. but, a good alternative to clean is either simply green or purple power.
but just using that tends to still leave a dull finish so ive seen someone use armor all tire shine on it and that will last a few days (i know that most tire shines do eat away the dip) but like i said i saw someone say they used meguires back to black but im curious if that would help restore the plasti dip back to its original deep black and not that super shiny look.

You can use any car soap to clean it. Granted mine are dipped but just for winter tire purposes, but i have never had a issue getting them clean with normal car wash soap. As to keeping them looking new, i would just clean them up good and add another new coat of dip
